Drivetrain M7.............Super Glue "Rear Diffuser"
Here's the next step in making the "Mule" stick to the road like glue
After the surgery I took the mule out for a run and holly sh** at high speed (70 and above) the steering response
was like supercharged and I could also tell that the car was riding "harder" possibly compressing the shocks and
springs. can't wait for some serious track time.
Price: Not available.....sorry

Nice piece Peter.
A diffuser slows down the air wherever it's mounted. Nearly every sportscar today has a diffuser in the rear as well as in the front. It's a far more efficient way of making downforce on the car than a wing, which introduces drag.

Andy, didn't you read his testing results?
And if you don't understand how great supercharged steering is, the 2.5 new dimentions of driving experience aren't going to thrill you either.

So, it looks like in order to do this, you had to raise up the exhaust...seems you've punched out the backup light and cut into the bumper to get the clearance for the diffuser? Very nicely done, how far forward does it go? It looks like you at least got past the tricky point of the rear suspension. Any issues with exhaust temperature with this in place, given that airflow over the exhaust is seriously reduced?

As I do have the Supertrapp exhaust system, moving the piping was fairly straight forward.
The actuall diffuser wall (Horizontal) extends from the bumper skirt to the gas tank.
The exhaust temp has not been a problem as an opening in the diffuser forces air in an around the
supertrapp exiting in the bumper cut out.
Next week a flat bottom will be installed stretching from the front of the car to where the diffuser
starts.

Hey Peter,
Great idea! I've always been concerned with the aerodynamics and drag under any car, so let us know how it performs with all this new stuff. This should smooth it out enough probably to make up for the extra weight.

Actually the car weighs in at an super low 2270lbs so weight is not a problem. The main goal is to maximise
handling and vehicle dynamics.
The diffuser is made from aluminum and carbon fiber weight is less then 10lbs
