I sent my NM rep an e-mail to confirm this earlier, will confirm it soon! If it's ready for my car, I will be doing it ASAP!
So, did you hear back from NM about availability for the 2012 model year vehicles? I have a 2012 MCS that I am looking to get tuned as well.

Sent him an e-mail on Saturday, my assumption was they were closed for the holiday weekend, so I'll find out tomorrow I guess.

He says it is not available yet. I did inform him that Renntech has it available already, he is looking into it further.

I just got an email from Jerry at NM that says they can do production dates up to February 2012.

This much I (and I assume others) are aware of. It's the cars built after that which are in question and as of now, am told that NM does not have the tune finalized for those cars build beyond 3/12 with the updated ECU from Mini.

I had always just heard that 2012 model years were different. I was unaware that it was a mid-model year change.

Either way, my prod date is 1/12 so I'm good to go if I want to get mine done.

I have a renntech tuned R60 that was ordered on 3/30 and took delivery on 5/13. Dynoed at 194 HP and 241 torque. So I can verify that renntech can definitely do the later production 2012's.

Only a k&n filter and NM air charge pipe when dynoed. Since then I've added the nm discharge pipe and torque arm insert. No fmic or exhaust yet.

You took delivery of your car exactly one month before I did. My question to you is more personal than performance minded.

How do you feel about voiding your warranty so soon in your cars life? I'm assuming we have similar mileage on our cars (very low) and I'm unsure how the dealership near me will react. Have you spoken with your service adviser about this since you've had the ECU bench tuned?

I gave the warranty a little thought but not much. Hopefully I wont have any problems. I have 9500 miles on my car so at that rate i wont have a warranty for long anyway and I would rather enjoy the performance now.

I told the SA yesterday about the tune and he just said hopefully you wont need your warranty. Its a risk but worth it for me.

Yeah, you're going through mileage at about the same rate I am. Part of the reason for me is also knowing I'll tear through the warranty quickly anyway.

Agreed. I talked to Jerry @ NM and I'm planning on Next-day shipping my ECU to him Saturday, hopefully I will have it back by Wednesday. Just trying to arrange cheap wheels for Mon-Whenever I get the ECU back.

I think I've almost got grandma willing to let me borrow her Lexus. She doesn't care that I drop $500 on a "go-fast" part for the car, but she can't bear to let me spend a few bucks to rent "some stupid car" LOL gotta love Grandma logic.

Well I got a chance to drive today, between the gym and work I had like 1hr to test drive it. Let me say that with the sport button off the cars throttle response is great. Its like the sport button is pressed. The torque is definitely there with the tune. Tires broke loose going through the gears up to 4th. I wasnt even over revving and dropping the clutch. It was just coming off a light and entering a highway.
Now with the sport button pressed, its crazy. I gotta do the suspension, feel like its guna get away from me lol. I have this entrance and overpass I try to see how fast I can get to. Used to be 60 from entrance to overpass, now its 80. I love the way the car feels. Very pleased with the tune, I will keep observing the changes. I haven hooked up my scanguage to see the boost. Any questions just ask.

Good to hear automan21! I look forward to getting my tune soon.

So please do continue to post your impressions and results. I remain undecided among the three main tuners, but am leaning towards NM . . . today.

Sounds amazing! My only question would be, what exactly does the sport button do now?

You finally did it! Glad you like the results. I'm thinking I will waiting until this spring before getting a tune and see where the market is then.

From what I understand
Sport button off = Same steering and throttle response as stock sport button on w/ more torque and power
Sport button on = Sharper throttle response and full torque and power provided from tune.

Yes
sport button on=full torque and HP from tune with stiffer steering.
Sport button off=just like stock sport mode without heavy steering.

Noticed you were having a CEL issue on the other thread. Any updates on your NM tune experience?

What do you mean by they're funny, meaning the Mustang owners? V6 or V8?
