r53 invidia n1 CBE

hey guys, i've been looking into getting an exhaust, but don't really know what to go with. i like the invidia because it looks good and sounds good from what i can tell. it's also not $800+.. does anyone have some pros or cons about this specific system? any other systems you guys recommend?

Megan

I have this sounds sick! pops and bangs but not to loud just right, and the back boxes from behind look amazing and stay shinny giving the car a very clean look from behind.

Tsudo

Nvidia

I've heard the Stratmosphere are pretty good - Way Motor Works runs them on his cars. If I were in the market for a new exhaust I'd be getting one of them.

I actually was considering this one, but when I had my civic I kept from getting it because of the fear that it might not be the best quality (low price) and it was really loud. I also figured Megan was more of a Honda /Nissan type thing.

The people I have talked to that have Invidia exhausts, love them. I am 99% sure that is what I'm getting as well due to the quality, sound and price point. If I can scrape up some more cash, I will get a stratmosphere, but if not, Invidia is my choice.

Yeah man, plus I love the way the titanium blue tips look. Especially on my astro black.

I have an Invidia and love it. It was an easy install, good fitment and as has been mentioned, a great look. No drone at highway speeds and a nice, non ricer, throaty sound. And best of all they're affordable. I got mine a year ago for $595 so I would think maybe $625ish now?

I found my Invidia sub 600 and I love it, I live near Stratmosphere and did not care for the quality of the Flashpoint exhaust I had bought from them for my M3 (tips were way off and welds were poor) I would not but them for my R53 due to this. The quality of the Invidia exhaust is incredible!

Thank you for including this! I've seen two ads for the same exhausts on ebay at like $640 and they specify the years between 02-04 and 05-06. I didn't know there was a difference. Thanks for the input!

For that price, hit up James an Motoringwerks, I'm pretty sure he can get you to that price point for the exhaust and they know Mini's so you won't have to take a gamble on the ebay ad.

You're right. The only cheaper option is the Megan racing.

I love my nvidia exhaust. Nice and mellow, no rattles, plus all the right burbles and barks.

Ditto on the Invidia... love mine and those blue tips are the icing on the cake!

Be wary that it will get louder after a couple of hundred miles, but still not too obnoxious!
I've noticed sub 60 degrees its louder too.

Not really any drone on highway - at 3k revs it's pretty close to stock.

i dont know if you ordered it already but im just gonna post what i wrote on another thread the other night anyway. iv had a few problems but still love the thing and wouldnt change it for anything. if i had to buy a new exhaust for some reason id buy the same one again........

i love my invidia n1 system. it sounds great but ended up snapping the bracket at the very end that helps to separate the tips from touching. i had to re weld the bracket back on and the weld job i did looks like crap but i dont really care since you cant even see it. it was my first weld so im still patting myself on the back. i cant say too much about drone since i took my cat out and have solid motor mounts so the whole inside cabin drones like a **** but i love the drone. i ended up getting a ticket a couple weeks ago for being too loud and when i took my system off i noticed that inside the resonator the beehive looking pipe was staring to warp like it was melted or something. not much i can really do about it i guess thats what i get for taking out the cat maybe i can contact invidia or something and be like wtf? not really sure where i was going with all this but hope the info helps! ohh yeah and the burnt blue tips look freaking awesome! by far the best looking tips in my opinion.

I've had my Invidia exhaust for over two years. My mechanic friend said it was the easiest install he's ever done after ten years of working on cars. The Invidia is not the loudest, but it does have a sporty tone. You should be able to find plenty of video on YouTube for sound testing.

You can get the exhaust from Eurosport Design for $628 before shipping: http://www.eurosportdesign.com/p-120...k-exhaust.aspx.

I'm installing mine today, can't wait.

And if you're wanting one, I posted this up a little while ago:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t-systems.html

The site in there has them for $553 plus shipping, and if you use 25offshipping you get 25% off shipping cost. They can be had for mid 500 range depending on where you live. I live in Norfolk, VA and it would have been around $570 shipped. Just an FYI, get them before they're gone!

I've had my Invidia exhaust on my 04 MSC for a few years now and I 've go no complaints. It sounds great and doesn't drone at all, the interior sound doesn't over whelm my stereo system. It pops when I deaccelerate, really cool. The sound is very distinct, I live in a fairly busy area and my wife can here me from over 1/4 mile away, she's got good ears.
