Well I hadn't seen this before seems like overkill for the cooper!

Don't buy it. I bought one, it leaked. The Alta intercooler is actually bigger, but I wouldn't recommend that either. I would go with the GP intercooler. It seems to be the most efficient.

Hmm sux looks damn huge for the 1.6 MINI engine.
My WRX I/C is prob that size and the car makes way more power.

8X11 is not that big, and the IC will not make power. It will only allow the engine to not lose power to heat.

+1 for not recommending this. Most of these cheep I/C's heat soak badly. Like some one else said the GP I/C works very well.

There's a old thread floating around here somewhere about comparisons done with all the aftermarket intercoolers. The GP one is the most effective. The stock one performs better then the Alta. And the M7 did a tad better than OEM.

1. GP
2. M7
3. Stock
4. Alta

Save your money and get a GP intercooler, they have shown to work great, and fit great.

Well crap then, it fits any make / model car as long as it has a R53 swap.

I had one briefly (came with a modified alta diverter, paid $40 for both and just wanted to use the modified alta to mock up my own diverter) The thing had to weigh 15lbs, as the aluminum plate they used for the end tanks is 1/4" aluminum plate. WAY overkill.
It didnt leak for me, but was a B**** to fit on, had almost no back clearance, and took up half of the scoop because of its height, not allowing much air over the intercooler. (I decided to just fit it for kicks and giggles)
Utter POS.
However, we did use it for a mitsu 3000GT single turbo conversion (Borg Warner S400 turbo, (80mm) pushing 30lbs of boost, and it works great for that! lol. but he was running so much boost he actually did not care about pressure drop. haha.

They had a reputation on the SRT4 forums as being ebay junk. I think the Evo guys have noted they are copies of other guys intercoolers. The one Evo/DSM builder thats big dyno tested it and said it heat soaked like crazy.

So yeah, stay away, god speed has bad reviews accross the car boards lol.
