Drivetrain 16"/8.5" wide wheels on MCS what offset
I'm trying the get that "Old School" look on my MCS, deep-disk 16"/8.5" forged wheels
Not only will it give The Mini a wider track, and improved handling, the look is great !
What I'm trying to determine i what offset is required to fit? I know a set of SSR 16/7.5 have an offset of +42mm.
Any of you that can help , Please !
Thanks,
Roy

Sounds like a lot of rubbing. Based on what I saw with RandyBMC (Randy Webb at Webb Motorsports), with h&r springs, the 215/45 R16 Falken Azenis will rub with the Rota Circuit 8 (16x7 40mm Offset).
There should be no rubbing, if there is just shave the fenderwell. I do not think you could go with more than a 225 tire though. But your offset should be about 42-43. With a 225 tire you can get away with a 7.5, or 8 inch wide rim.
