Does anyone have the printout template used for cutting the plastic when installing the dinan intake?

yes..scanned actual size

Howdy...yes, it should be actual size, max width across the small tabs is
5.250", I can snail mail it to you if you need..I found the instruction manual that came with the kit.

Use a drill at the corners to get a clean radius and a very sharp Ex-Acto knife will actually do a good job trimming the opening.the intake top is a tight fit, but it does work, and is very nice. Not too loud until you stick your foot in it, then a fair bit of whine.Very discreet at cruising speed, and California legal.

I actually could tell the difference once it was in, just a wee bit better response.Once the 15% pulley and plugs are back in it should be great.

Good Luck!

gimme a call if you want the manual...530-876-9900 7-4 pst

Awesome that's a huge help! I feel like I can install it without the manual, I've installed the Alta intake before. I was going to try and find a dremel to cut the opening, but you think the exacto knife will work? Also, I don't have the rubber gasket that fits over the cut. Any suggestions?

The seal was made from a rubber seal strip that seems to be standard automotive weather stripping like you'd find around the door frame or trunk.

+1 on the gasket

Yeah...I am pretty sure the sealing material is generic stuff in that I don't think Dinan had it made up just for them.

Also check with marine ( boating ) supply shops and RV supply shops...many times the same rubber/metal "weather stripping' is used in different venues.Split surgical tubing might work in a pinch

I think it will whistle and draw hot air without some form of gasketing...I used some aircraft tin-snips to cut the main cross-wise cut after drilling holes at each corner. The plastic is not too tough, but the X-Acto is best for clean-up work, it won't be string enough to do the actual cutting, although scoring a line and bending would probably work.

It certainly allows more air to get to the throttle body than the stock set-up.
Just holler if you need more pictures, mine is out of the car now for other surgery, so I can take pics of the installation.

Mad Gepetto sends.

I got it installed, and it works perfectly. Where would the rubber seal go that I was supposed to get from Dinan?

The seal was an bulb seal like type 2 of the seals at the top of this linked page from McMasterCarr
http://www.mcmaster.com/#bulb-seal-w...ipping/=cd06x6

It attaches to the firewall section you cut open with the bulb between the Dinan intake and the firewall. Dinan provided these pre-cut to size. I can send a picture if you like.

Thank you! There are a lot of size options for the style 2, do you know which size would be the best?

Sorry for the delay, I didn't have the car yesterday. After looking at my install I realized that the weatherstripping has 2 bulbs. If you go to this link: http://www.mcmaster.com/#bulb-seal-w...ipping/=cdo4od and click on adjustable edge-grip seal, it is like style 12.

I think I'm beating a dead horse, but I don't see the weather strippings listed from McMaster Carr in the previous posts. Anyone have any luck finding a set that works?
