Finally getting some extra HP

So I am at Mynes right now having some mods done to my car:
17% WMW Pulley reduction
NGK Spark Plugs
DT Tensioner Strap
Mynes Performance Tune
Bosch 550cc Fuel Injectors
New Upper Motor Mount (since the old was totally shot)
Performance bushings for the lower motor mount

The baseline dyno run showed 149hp. It is a little higher than a stock automatic MCS given the fact I have a Magnaflow Exhaust, JCW CAI with Madness Filter, and GP Intercooler. I hope to see some serious gains after it is all done. I will be sure to post pics and before and after dyno screen shots.

ZIG!!!!

just as a data point, my '04 Works Car turned the following Dynapack numbers with the first motor:

max torque 158.23 @ 3,981
max hp 164.7 @ 6,818

that was the dealer installed "trunk kit"

I bet your recipe will do better...

Cheers,

Charlie

I am thinking about signing up. Especially since this next autox event is two day. Plus my bday is april 11 so I thought it might be a nice birthday gift for myself.

The results are in:
Base Run w/ Magnaflow Exhaust, GP IC w/ DDICD, JCW CAI w/ Madness Filter
HP = 149.34 Max Torque = 144.05
Mynes Tune, 17% Pulley, NGK Plugs, 550cc Injectors
HP = 180.92 Max Torque = 168.62

Needless to say I am very pleased.

Sure, but do you have a working OEM mirror folding switch?

Enjoy the newfound power!

No I haven't had the time to figure it out. School, internship at a law firm, studying for LSAT, and life in general I just havent had the time, willingness, nor engery to figure it out.

Well I think header, head, and a crank shaft. Not for a while though. I love the gains but my car is not as smooth as it used to be. Is that normal?

I think most people have reported that there cars were smoother after tune as well, so I would tend to say no, it's not normal.

Exactly, from day one mine has been purring like a kitten with the RMW tune for over 2 years, and that includes multiple track days!!!

I'm sure Mynes can smooth it out. The only porblem my car seem to have is to much HP for the tranny, but it's fun.

Those are almost the exact #'s as my '05 works car was, if you believe the 210 claims from the factory thats just over 22% drive train loss, that seems like alot?

Didn't see you at the autoX, what happened?
It was a fun course (though it favored higher horsepower cars), hope to see you next time.
