Renting Tensioner Tool

I'm about to install my WMW 17% pulley, but I did not buy the tensioner tool. My question is, is this a tool that I could rent locally at an auto parts store?

I don't know of any shops that will carry it as it is very specific for the MINI.

Any clubs around your area you could check with?

Since your only doing it once, use a prybar, it's easier than you think. Just have your buddy stick a pin in the tensioner when you pry it up.

I did mine with a pipe that i threaded a bolt into on the end, and used the tensioner bolt nearest the radiator with a socket on it as a fulcrum. There's many ways to do it, you just have to be creative.
