WMW turbo downpipe...

Kind of surprised to not find much regarding this. Has anybody used this? Good?...Bad?...Ugly?

It's appealing to me because it has a robust flange, has the option to ceramic coat (stainless steel) and is also optioned for a high flow cat. I'd like to see or hear some feedback though and I am wondering if nobody has posted because it's a fairly new offering or what have you?

Has anybody put a JCW downpipe and MCS downpipe up against one another? Does anybody know the inherit differences?

Just recently the single downpipe has become available. I'm not sure anyone on NAM has just tried to use the downpipe and bolt it up to some other exhaust.

They are different part numbers...I have been told that the cat on the JCW is less restrictive that the MCS one. Probably not worth switching over to though

Yeah...on the website, it states that you can bolt this up to the stock MCS/JCW exhaust. I am interested...I have an email into Way.

It would be great if it fit perfect. "Direct bolt-on" seems to be a challenge to many people, but with Way's reputation it'll probably work fine.

Wanted to hit this thread again. I have emailed Way on two separate occassions regarding the downpipe but haven't heard back. I know he is a busy man so I don't want to read into it and be speculative....just surprised that I haven't heard about more people using this downpipe with a JCW or MCS factory exhaust? If it's in fact a straight bolt on/bolt up...I am very, very interested. Hopefully I hear something back at some point. I could use the extra torque too.

Nope....emailed Way about 5 separate times and no answer. IIRC, the one time I did speak with him the price was close to $600 and they were a few months out in production. For that price I will simply purchase the Akrapovic downpipe from Turner Motorsport and have it in 2 days.

I'd be interested to know what CELs you get, if any, with the Akrapovic.

You're running it now? I misunderstood.

Can you run the AP in such a way that those of us without the AP will know whether or not we'll get a CEL? Pretty sure I'll be getting one of these

I am running the stock DP. I plan to upgrade to aftermarket. From what I have read, the Akrapovic DP does not trigger a CEL.

etalj,
I am unsure if there is a way to run the AP so that one can see a prospective engine light. I know that the Stage II/III maps turn off the CEL.

Way told me that his DP will, in fact, register a check light.

Thanks for the info buddy.

See, if the Akrapovic DP triggers a CEL, I'd probably just ask them to sell me a catless DP.

My money is on a CEL. What's the point of an after-market catted downpipe that's going to trip a CEL anyway? Might as well be catless.

That's the point. I believe that the Akrapovic unit will NOT trigger a CEL. Doesn't matter for me as I have the AP though.
