Drivetrain RMW now has Alta Access Ports in stock!
So an AP that comes with an RMW tune? Count me in! As soon as I close on my house anyway :P
So how are updates handled if we buy this then later add things like exhaust or IC? Will they be free or at least cheap? Or should I hold off until I can afford to get an IC first?

we will have canned tunes with the AP and also custom tuning options.
I'll get the dyno sheet up tomorrow for the JCW with just an IC that we did
If I buy the AP from RMW do I only get Jan's tune or do I get an Alta tune too?
If one gets both tunes why would anyone buy from Alta? Two tunes for the price of one.........sounds too good to be true.

I can let you try out the AP. Jeff sent me maps for a stock S so I could let people demo. Today would actually be a good day. send me a pm if interested. It takes only a very few minutes to install. You won't lose your RMW tune either.
Kinda what I was getting at when I posted. I don't quite understand what the difference is. Does this mean we buy the AP from Jan and only get Jan's tunes or do we get Alta's and Jan's? And if we only get Jan's tunes...are there any dyno charts available to see the difference in tunes if any? I am just confused to where I should buy the AP and for what reasons would I choose one company over the other?
Choose whoever you want. Just like if you had a Subie and used the Cobb AP...you can choose from any of a multitude of Cobb pro tuners to get you a custom tune. As Alta said, this will be the case with the R56 AP as well, once they select more tuners to use it.
I'd like to see some dyno numbers as well. On a side note will you be doing the linear throttle maps as well?

As somebody who never actually got the Dimsport tune up and running (drivability issues have kept me going back and forth with Jan and running my stock map since purchase), I'm especially interested to see what improvements the AP can bring to buyers of the original MyGenius canned package...
I'm in a 2008 MCSa that's fully updated. The problems for me weren't in the installation process itself, but rather related to the drivability issues that others have mentioned in the various threads on the topic. Stutter/Hesitation in mid-RPM range, cold start rough idle, an overall lack of smoothness and unpredictable boost character. My issues didn't seem to be anything out of the norm, but for whatever reason they definitely appear to have been more pronounced on my car than others on here. Either way, Jan's assured me that an update is coming and I have a lot of faith in his abilities, so this AP changeover is just another interesting point to consider as far as I'm concerned.

Jan,
I'd be interested in the AP swap if the price comes in right. I've got the DIMSPORT tool working just fine now but it looks like the AP will do a good bit more for us.
Thanks,
Craig
