Hi, I located a complete low mileage (20,000 miles)MCS drivetrain, I'm thinking about doing some light head work, Jesus? , a pulley and then doing a swap.

Seems like a bunch of great stuff. I wish someone sold a tap-less oil pressure thingy back when I did my gauges.

For the roads around Lincoln, full stiff on the 22mm is best. Just be sure not to lift off the throttle on the highway ramps north of town. If you are going with camber plates, in addition to your control arms, I can recommend some alignment settings.

Do you drive your MINI in the winter? That is my only concern with leaving the RSB on full stiff.

And Im assuming that you are talking about the i180-i80 interchange? I bet that can make for some fun driving

And I havent looked at any camber plates for the front yet. Which ones do you have?

This is really fun to follow, you are doing this right. Keep up the good work!
I find, lowered minis with low profile tires are ridiculously TERRIBLE in the snow. You will want the sway bar on the stiffest setting because it is more fun. See what your camber is after the lowering springs. You may find that the camber is just fine for all around driving.
Also consider the high compresh pistons and meth! your car will be a monster-

I have a set of 15" wheels that i will be buying blizzaks for the winter. After watching my buddies high powered cars make it through the winter with winter tires, I will never go a without them again.

I am going to try. I still have a lot to get done. And I am not sure how long it will take to get my exhaust redone. Has the date been decided yet?

and has your clubman been delivered yet?

Nov. 7, meet in Council Bluffs 8AM to motor over to the covered Bridges of Madison County (near Des Moines).
I picked up my Clubman 9/22, and I'm lovin' it! Should I stop up at Silverhawk after work (3:30) one of the days this week?

todays work:
I got the rear shocks off, have had the front struts off for awhile. I plan on getting the spring compressor from O'Reilly's on Thursday. Then I have 48 hours to get the springs changed out.

got my exhaust removed as well.

stock control arms off, top and bottom of course are the Alta arms. the top middle is a factory control arm and the bottom middle is the dealership's replacement arm. I bent both the drivers rear control arms in an accident so thats why they are different.

drivers side

pass side

it got dark on me then, so i moved into the garage and took a look at my transmission

got her cracked open, looks like fun in there

stock diff that NEEDS to get lost

and get replaced with this lsd

cam focused on the trans and not the magnet, but the shavings were not as bad as i would have thought

also, how many people have looked at the bottom of their gas tank? Because I would like to know who the unlucky souls where that received the last option there:

Does one that is soley made out of metal really have significant benefits? They alta has aluminum caps and a metal core inside the silicone tube.

haha, your metal sleeve actually fit.. mine ws way too long, and the sleeve will help at idle, but when you go n boost the can will still baloon out slightly...
plus it doesnt do anything on my car. I empty it once every year and get maybe a few ml each time.

That's the main reason for me buying everything else from Alta. I want things to match. And I really like the red accent.

got some parts from Way today!

now just so everyone knows, I didnt order the cabrio braces for functionality. I just like the way they look in the engine bay and will help break up some of the red when i am done. And tensioner stop just in case. Bought an expensive damper, dont want it to get fudged up.
