ALTA wants you to take this POLL

Guys we are getting tons of great feedback about the ALTA AccessPORT! There are a few things that we would like to get an idea on from the NAM public. Things like what car do you have, what fuel, auto manual and things like that! We figured a great way to get some of this info is to create a poll!

Make sure and check off all that apply!

Great! I hope everyone takes this poll!

We do plan on another poll in a few weeks after people get thier AccessPORTs to see how things are going and if there are other needs!

Voted The GP needs the power of the AccessPORT! Jeff use your magic! You KNOW the demand for the R53 units is there. Get a few hundred R56's under the ALTA AccessPORT spell then help out us R53 Guys!

For you, we will get it going! Actually we have gotten an enourmous amount of hate mail, and love mail, saying where is the R53 Love!! This is the kind of feedback we need in order to judge if there is enough demand for R53 AccessPORTs.

Actually does your car have a MAF sensor on the intake? Send me a pic of your engine bay! OR post it up here.

What I want to see in the next year or 2(at least) is a kit with a bigger turbo, all the tubing needed, and an ECU reflash to make it work. And I mean tested and working right away.

Ah crap I think i was misunderstood. I have a '09 with '10 ECU software since my computer had to get reflashed this year due to some water damage to my interior electronics. I'm done with tracking my R56 this year so I'll be looking for the best solution in 2011.

Just curious, you wanting a turbo upgrade that may support 300WHP, or 250WHP like a JCW can make? If

That sounds so far away, but i guess it only a few months. I am not say for 100% that we will have a turbo kit tuned and ready by then, but it is something we will start working on once again!

Well, in my case I have a bit of JCW Envy. I think I'd be happy enough with something matching a JCW, especially since my automatic would never have come with a JCW turbo to begin with. That being said.... as long as it doesn't cause problems elsewhere there's nothing wrong in my mind with 50 more WHP then a JCW turbo can produce

It's funny, it looks like 16 cars don't have any transmission! I wonder how they go?!

Just curious, I have an aftermarket ECM on my Harley that autotunes to the mods on the bike. (exhaust, intake, cams, etc.)
There are basic maps you can download to get you close to whatever mods you have, and after that the ECM learns and makes adjustments. What I have lost in MPG I have made up for in MPH. I don't plan at all to track or race my MINI, (I'm old and my reflexes are not what they used to be, besides, my bike keeps me on my toes enough, as it is.) Just want to make my MINI S well tuned and reliable in close to stock condition.
Does the ALTA unit do this, or do you have plans to make this possible?
Thanks much, Maugre.

P.S. Can you ever have enough speed or altitude?

Not that anyone asked, but I would love for you guys to come up with a suspension package that works for R56 owners. By "works" I mean not too stiff, not too low and no clunking noises or travel issues. It seems the best solution is TSW or NM springs and bilstien HD's. It would be cool to see you guys come up with a matched system that is a one stop shop deal.

Voted. I've got a '10 JCW right now with an RMW tune on 93 octane. I'm about to install a bigger FMIC and boost tubes. I'd love to install a downpipe with a high flow cat as well, but am hesitant to do so because of everyone's CEL issues.

Questions - Would the Alta DP bolt up with the stock JCW catback? I would like to keep the car as low-key as possible as it is still my DD. Also, does the AP definitely block the CEL from the DP? I've had APs in both of my previous cars, so I'm fairly familiar with what they can do. If the AP can solve the problems with the downpipe I would probably have to buy it.. especially after seeing the dyno charts for a Stage 3 JCW.

They are called KW V1 coilovers! You won't regret buying them!

Thanks for the feedback Adam. From what I have read, any coilover setup is going to be too stiff for me.

Thanks for the reply. Just and FYI I believe I offered you two or three options. Two of which were NOT Coilovers. So let me know your thoughts either here or via PM. Happy to help! Thanks again!
