Rwm Tune Or Unichip Tune?

Any advantages or disavantages of both the rmw tune or unichip tune? Im interested in both and cant make up my mind. I have aftermarket exhaust, intake, intercooler, and boost tubes. Which is best overall?

Go RMW over Unichip all day long!!! Unichip gives P115d codes.... No solution found yet, except removing the Unichip $800.00 wasted

Between those two options, RMW, however, if you want to go the Unichip route, I have one you can buy for a fraction of the original cost.

It would be nice to get Jan in our area for a tune session. Anyone trying to put together session in the Texas or Oklahoma area?

lol i would say i would hold off but... RMW has the word of mouth and the upper hand. His customer service was excellent. The man just got off a plane and managed to send me the canned tune within 30 minutes of me sending him mine. He didnt have to do that but he did so it says a lot. It will be interesting to see what can be made because no matter what tune you get, a canned tune will never compare to a individual tune. All cars are made differently. Custom sessions are what is best period. If one of the perrin guys can out tune JAN whom flies all over the country tuning minis and porsches etc. which i highly doubt, The perrin gig will be a success.

Hats off to Jan for service and quick turnover. Can't wait to meet him in person when he heads out this way.

Should take a good driving course to learn how to manage the balance and physics of the car before you get it all juiced up. Skill will get you our of a hairy situation before power does.

either way enjoy your mini SAFELY

I have taken performance driving courses and spent time with an instructor both on the track and on the skid pad in not only my car but various others as well at MSR Houston since my uncle happens to own part of the track

I'm sure there will be even more if I can find some time to dig into the code deeper..... I found some more maps this weekend......... I wish I had full time engineers doing it for me

To the OP: forget the Unichip, I am still listed as a dealer for them, but have had ZERO luck getting them to work and I'm stuck with a hefty investment on garbage. Jan tuned my personal car as well as those of some of my best customers. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
