Used Porshe Brembos on R56?

Does anyone know if the Brembo Calipers in the big brake kit for the R56 is anything like the stock brembos on a Porshe? I have seen some on ebay for $400 and thought I would ask around.

Cheers

If you're asking if they'll bolt right up, the answer is no.

They're both brembos and have some of the same technology and are a similar type of caliper. But they are not the same thing.

It's certainly possible with a rotor and a bracket that allow the calipers to fit. From my research the piston sizes would work well on the Mini and the bias would still be good. Maybe someday I'll do it but it's a decent amount of work.

They've been mounted on R53's so yeah it's certainly possible with the R56.http://www.mini2.com/forum/gt-tuning...akes-pics.html

The StopTech kit is essentially a Porsche 928 kit, with a unique caliper bracket and rotor hats that fit the MINI's hub. Long story short, you'll have to fabricate pieces to make a non-MINI Brembo kit work.

I've seen porsche brakes on a R56. The front tires had to have fat spacers for them to fit though. The front track width was more than the back and looked kinda funny.
