Cool pics Doug!

I'm lost on the first three pics though, what is the perspective: into the shifter 'channel' from underneath? How did you open? Did you have to do that to install the shifter?

I got the Alta 22mm swaybar about 1 month ago, on the stiffest setting, and absolutely love it. The handling of the car is transformed, especially on the track, but even during spirited driving. Love it!!!!

Great Job,

I l am looking forward to my visit with Helix in the Future.

I didn't know Helix sold his own short throw shifter kit, how much did that cost if you don't mind me asking?

Hows that 17% pulley holding up on ya?

I believe Helix is now selling his Short Shift kit to the public. I would contact him on pricing. I am not sure what I did with my Bill...lol.

I would have taken more pictures but I was busy messing with my bumper cover and watching the antics across the street.

Yes that is the underside of the shifter. The install is easy but you have to
1. unbolt your exhuast after the Catalytic Converter.
2 remove the big heat shield,
3. remove the plastic cover that seals the shift linkage.
4. Un pop the shifter connection, install the extended shift rod,
5. repeat the above steps in reverse

Doug,

Great shots as usual. Very curious about the short shift kit, since I "saw" them a few weeks ago.

Nice work on the slow shutter speeds inside the garage....

Thanks for the write up and pictures. Helix is selling their own short shift kit similar in style to the Mini Mania kit and under $100 but call for exact pricing. Rough install time about 90 minutes. Doesn't reduce the height of the shifter too much (maybe 25%) but is an improvement. Works with aftermarket or stock shift ****.

Wait, You added the JCW kit exhaust but not the rest of the kit? How come? What's the story on that?
For those confused by the pictures- the indi blue MC is the helix mobile and the EB/W MCS is getting the mods done.
The pictures show the suspension before and after the bar was installed. Softest setting on the three holes.

I thought I was looking at a picture of Helix's forklift and delivery truck!

Minihune,
Thanks for the clarification. I was having pic posting issues this morning. Yes It is JCW exhaust. It cam from one of Eric's customers cars that wanted a sportier exhuast (Borla Race) so he left it at Helix and I purchased it from the original owner.

dandp,
Thanks for the complimets. I could use a few lessons from you on photography. Half the time I have no idea what i am doing. I did learn that I need a tripod for those slow shutter speed pictures. So I bought a small one for my digital camera.

Did you get a Cooper Works Badge or is that still for sale?

Also how much shorter does that shifter feel? Is it hard to find the gears?

I do not have any problems getting the car into gear. It shortens the throws quite a bit and I think after getting used to it it is even easier to drive now.

The customer who sold his exhuast to me has the badges on his car.
