Drivetrain Homemade Water Injection!
Homemade Water Injection!
So today I went out to Lowe's and bought a couple things to make my homemade water injection kit, I know it's not very "professional" and it's not the "best" but it works very well and keeps my intercooler cool and prevents "knocks"
Check it out, I bought the following items:
90 Degree Quarter Circle Mister Jet
1/4" Barbed Tees
Clamps Rubber Lined 3/8"
and 1/4" Black Vinyl Tubing
Since my rear washer isn't in use, I just cleaned out the tank (ran water through it a couple times) and then filled it with nice clean H2O! Rerouted the hose with my 1/4" vinyl hose to the intercooler and used the 3/8" clamps to hold it in place. I put three spray nozzles used the 1/4" Barbed Tees and the connected the Jet Misters to the top of the tee. Worked out perfect!
Check it out!

Video:
Let me know what ya think! Not to bad and the pressure is awesome! Didn't want to spray it too long while the car was sitting still as well.
Also, IGNORE THE UGLY BLUE PAINT! IT'S ALL GETTING REPAINTED RED THIS WEEK!

Looks good for an intercooloer cooler but that new JDM red paint will yield a good 10 more HP for sure.

Nice job
. I've had this set up for years starting with the Alta Ic diverter, then when that rusted out i swapped it for the stainless DDM works diverter and retrofitted a sprayer with the same nozzle to it. Works great! I can actually see the temps drop 10 degrees on the ScanGaugeII
Sso not to dig up an old thread, but I plan on doing this and was doing some research.... stumbling on this thread. Just thought I'd give my 2 cents on an "auto-spray" (which mine will have).
A simple micro-switch attached to either the throttle body or the gas pedal would work, if it were set up to turn on at anything over 3/4 throttle, or at full throttle, or w/e you wanted to set it up for.
