Invidia vs Stratmosphere exhaust

I have narrowed my search for an exhaust down to these two systems. I have found tons of info on the Invidia system but not too much on the Stratmosphere system. The only video clip I have found has been the one from the Stratmoshpere website. How does the sound of the Stratmoshpere compare to the Invidia?

I can't directly answer that question as I've never heard the Invidia. However, I do have the Milltek/Stratmosphere catback on my '10 MCS, and I'm pleased with its sound.

For comparison, I also had a Milltek on my '03 MCS, and it was considerably more mellow than the model for the R56.

This system you are looking at from Invidia. Its the one which has no second cat correct? Will this set off a check engine light? Did any of your info you researched mention that? I'm looking at the same system.

I was one of the first ones to get an Invidia, and I've been nothing but pleased ever since. It does delete the 2nd cat, but that won't cause a CEL.

The Invidia has a very deep, full sound. Not sure if you've heard my soundclips in other threads, but I'll post them here if you haven't. I get tons of compliments on how my car sounds.

I have a 2010 MCS . I noticed yours is an 08 ? Think I will be OK ?
On most systems like the Mini, there is a before and after O2 sensor on the main cat ( down pipe ) ; that the Mini's already have set up. I feel that should work fine but just wanted some reassurance from those who are already using the exhaust. Thanks !!!

You will not have any problems with the 2nd cat deleted as there are not any sensors in it on the stock exhaust.

Do you have a millitek that you bought from stratmosphere, or do you have the stratmosphere built catback? There is a difference.

To the OP: check the original stratmosphere catback thread. there were opinions of it posted there.

The invidia is the silver R56 on the right.
I messed up the description on the invidia, its the same invidia system that everyone else has.
In my opinion my exhaust (on left) sounds a lot like the stratmosphere exhaust.
I put together my custom magnaflow system for 350$, much cheaper than any 'pre built' system you'll buy.

FWIW, a lot of people like the invidia, i do like my exhaust, but its on the louder side if you can't tell from the video

Here is it compared to stock exhaust, when my car also looked pretty much stock

and a ride along video

Happy decisions!
