Loss of power between 5-6k rpm

Heya fellows,

im having a weird problem that i cannot figure out some months now.
I got a mcs 1/2007 and got a milltek exhaust+downpipe, a JCW stage 1 filter,
a forge intercooler and a forge resonator delete hose installed.

I have a custom ECU tune that runs 1bar steadily and 1,15 bar overboost.
The car is very fast but in first and second gear mostly (Only in these gears i can tell for sure my problem is noticeable) it revs like hell until 5k rpm and suddely the power drops till 6k rpm that kicks in again. I can see in my boost gauge the boost isnt dropping. Nothing came up in BMW's diagnostic computer, nor a hose or something is not tight and in position. Got new spark plugs form JCW mini cause i thought this might be it but still the same problem.

Anyone has a clue what might be cauing this thing ?

Cheers,
Pavlos

I doubt you get more power after 6000 rpm. The stock turbo runs doesn't push much air above 5000 rpm.

as soon as it reaches 5k rpm the power drops significantly specially in first and second gear, as if i brake and then kicks back till 6,5k to 7k(limiter has been raised a bit :P)

if i had my guess it might be either a map that wasn't found and modified during the tune, or the turbo...

the MCS just seems more rally car-esque with its powerful midrange torque and power, and doesn't hold up as well on higher RPMs, the JCW is more race car-ish because it builds power all the way to redline.

Oh there is power above 6000rpm

@7500rpm one particular car running upgraded IC, exhaust, intake, weight loss, and tune is making 212whp/212wtq

I make WAY more than 212whp by 4500 rpm and carry it all the way to 6750

Exactly I am talking about sustainable power and the car can sustain it till around 7500. Also you have W/M and a few other things this particular car doesn't so comparison is irrelevant.

I will let TORQUE do the job and I will wait for Dez and the Mynes fanboys at the finish line

By the way I have yet to dyno the new RMW tune that pulls to 7500
