we've all heard it again and again... but... be patient...
it WILL pay off.... thats all I can say.
It maybe a week or a month, or more, but, its not like hes not working on the tune. Hes tweaking little bits of it to really get it ready to be released, otherwise, he will have to send out an unfinished tune and there will still be a small problem with it, causing everyone to need yet another file when he fixes that small problem. Think about a video game release date, its not out of the ordinary for them to push the release date back 6 mo+.. I know, I've been impatient myself, but I know a good fix will be coming once hes done with it.

All the updates until then from Jan will just be "still working on it"- he'll let us know when its all set and done.

Yep and also not every car works with a single tune. Jan has to do alot of tweeking with each one so it will work.

It is worth the wait though.

Jan has been very responsive to me. Email him directly, he will find the time to help you if he can. I have been one of his problem cars, but he sent me a recent fix and so far so good, Oh shoot I dont want to jinx myself....

So, I finally got my dyno tune from Jan at a tuning party in Austin and could not be happier . The only thing that seems weird is the idle at park or in drive seems to fluctuate between 700-900rpm. I was just wondering if this is normal for people that have been dyno tuned by Jan?

It's a slight timing change that needs to be done to the idle. Send me an email on Friday and I will send you the file. I'm at sema this week

It happened to me (manual though) on the dyno during the dyno tune, so Jan adjusted the file a bit and it fixed it.

I'd also like an update when the next version is out for dimsport.

I got a revised tune from Jan as I was getting some weird problems (sounded like someone threw some bearings or something into the turbo when accelerating... detonation?) which took care of a lot of it, but power feels a little down and throttle response on sport seems more numb. Still getting my crazy hesitation sometimes as well, mostly when cold. Maybe I need new plugs?

I think the '08 has some ECM issues, the latest test file I got from Jan was actually a big step backwards and was dumping a ton o boost at light to mid throttle around town.. I know there's a few of us with '08s that've always had some weird dyno and tuning results, but it also doesn't help having Eco-friendly high ethanol crap gas (92 octane shell/chevron here can still have 10-15%) ...

Actually I replaced my plugs at 50k and it helped a ton. It took care of my detonation and hesitation....for a couple thousand miles.

NO! It is locked to the VIN that it was initially used on. It must be sent back to Italy to be cleared and they don't do it gratis.

Maybe I'll wait for the Alta AP then.
