Hey,
Lookin at gettin some mods for my "S". I am looking at the 15% pully, Alta intake, and Magnaflow exaust. I want to know what the gains will be for each of the mods, not just the total amount. And if u know of better intakes or exausts, plz put that in, thx

Mod dyno results very greatly depending on who did the testing and what the testing was done on.

Alta intake 5-9 HP
Magnaflow 5-12 HP
15% pulley 12-17 HP

All together maybe 20-25 horses at the wheel.

I believe that Randy of Webb Motorsports has all of these mods as well as lists of their performance increases on his site. You should also check out the performance mods forum as intakes, exhausts, and pulley are the majority of the topics found there

And remember that adding up the maximum individual performance gains of each mod does not equal the actual increase in hp.

Asking about individual gains isn't too relevent if you're doing all three. Keep in mind engine performance parts are not "additive", combinations of parts will yield different results. Intake+Pulley+Exhuast does not usually equal their individual gains because the more you push the engine, the less headroom you have, i.e. the more stuff you add, the less each one will help (basically).

also, moving this to Performance Modifications Forum

Recently added Alta Intake and Magnaflow to my 04 mcs. LOVE THEM. Can feel the extra HP although can't tell you the actual hp gain. Really like the sound of the Magnaflow... yes some drone but well worth it to get the deep sound on accelerating and burble when backing down. Expect my next hp mod will be the 15% pully but may get the 22mm rear bar first.

The newest Milltek exhaust looks good-not the old one with a million parts but the newer three piece one for about $695 from Stratmosphere in NY. Might come out really soon. Also check with webbmotorsport.com

Also don't forget lightweight wheels/sticky tires and a rear swaybar. These will complement your added power.

We did the redesign with Milltek in the UK, and should have the prototype here in the next week. Phil at Milltek sent out two - one for the US importer, Stratmosphere and one for us. I'll be posting the full eval on the website late next week.

Here's the new system:

Hope that helps!

BTW - I think you took a spin in the Mule before your move to FL, so you have a good idea of what horsepower routes to go, right SuperMINI03?
