After seeing the posts of the benefits of brisk plugs for r53, are there any benefits for my r56 JCW? Thanks for your responses...and where is best place to buy?
Hi checkers. How is everything going? Not sure if you remember me. I had the tune day in San Jose 2 years ago.
Anyway, this sounds interesting. I tried to set up another tune day here earlier this year but with the way the economy was crashing and my savings drying to the last dollar I thought twice about having it. However, things are a little better now with work and the finances. So, I am in on that Saturday. I also need to have my 440 injectors put in since I'm still running stock with all the upgrades I have.
The 440 injectors run $325.00 a set from Jan plus labor. I have 3 sets on order for the guys that said they needed them. If anyone else need them please let me know.
Dunno if he'll have the same set up on the road as he did in SoCal, but I paypal'd him. always worth asking, as long as you don't get pissed if he says no
Would an R50 benefit from the Jan tune? If so what is the cost ($)?
I have a Jan tune on my non-S Cooper R52. It was well worth it. Much more torque at low rpm and faster throttle response. Increases everyday driveability. Made a big improvement for driving in stop and go traffic with the air conditioner on. Cost is the same as an R53.
So do we each pay for the tune plus 1 hour of dyno time? I don't really expect that each car will need 1 hour, so can we split the costs of the dyno time?
Matt
This question wasn't answered. I'm curious of what the price of tune/injectors/install would be. Its quite a drive from PDX but it might be fun
I'm definitely interested but need to double check my schedule with the rest of the family.

Most likely gonna use one hour, 30 minutes will get you a good base dyno. Injectors are $325.
PDX? Where is that?

What?
Seems to me that one hour dyno for each car is appropriate.
