New intake, oil buildup on back window?

I installed a new alta 2.0 intake in my 2006 MCS last weekend, along with a 15% pulley, MSD ignition coil, cooler plugs and Alta Exhaust. Over the week I've notice a fine oily mist building up on the rear window and rear of the car. Seems like it's coming from the exhuast. I'm hoping it's just oil on the air filter that came with the intake and not something worse? The car is running fine this is the only issue. Anyone else notice a oily mist building up on the rear of the car after similar additions?

Running overly rich? Have you reset the ecu? When I did my lastest round of upgrades, I ran richer than normal until the ecu caught up with the mods.

Well I had the battery disconnect while I did the work, that should reset the ECU correct? I've only put about 100 miles on it since the addition of all the new bits so I guess I'll have to wait and see if it gets better.

It is most likely from the "stuff" inside the new exhaust. Once that blows and burns out it should go away. The ECU is a slow learner and it might take a couple of tanks before it fully adjusts. Might want to think about a "tune" from RMW or Mynes

Don't let the "likely" culprits distract you from an unlikely but possible situation such as an oil leak. Check the dipstick regularly!

I think Minichef got it right . I got together with some of my car buddies tonight and they all had a look. it's a weird oily powdery build up. suspiciously like dust from fiberglass that might be packed in the exhaust? the consensus was keep checking the oil and wait for the exhaust to burn in a bit more and it will likely go away. One of the guys thought it looked like stripper glitter, unfortunately that's not it.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Yes, that is unfortunate. Stripper glitter is properly found all over the seats, shift ****, and driver's apparel. It is out of place on the exterior of the car.

Hood glitter is acceptable . But I had the same thing minus the glitter from an oil leak. It was actually because they forgot to take out the old O-Ring when they did my oil change and it caused this.
