Drivetrain The Plasma-booster goes back this week. I can't recommend it

I don't disagree with you on your evaluation of the PB, but just a comment on the larger diameter spark - I think they are saying that the end result is a larger simulated diameter spark when you add up all the pulses together.
BANG vs bang,bang,bang,bang,bang

I don't disagree with your evaluation. My PB seems to work well for me. I noticed a difference in performance and mpgs. Maybe the benefits are better felt on stock-light mod applications. I'm happy with its gains, however seemingly deemed ineffective by this forum. It only has to please the user, me.
I can't say yours works. I don't know what gains, if any, you have experienced. And it doesn't matter. In the end it didn't suit your expectations.
What I can say is believing numbers posted, believing dyno results, and expecting similar gains is crap. There are so many outside factors that effect dynos; time of day, temp, air pressure, altitude, dyno vs dyno, dyno tester vs. dyno tester, dyno subject's mileage and use and weight, whether or not it had a clean air filter, clean oil, broken in oil (with synthetics), whether or not the owner had their finger and toes crossed... the list can go on. What I'm saying is the dyno sheet is only accurate for that particular set of circumstances. That goes for user experiences too (the butt dyno and evals).
Mine worked for me, yours didn't work for you. A header that works well in Colorado, may not work well in Maine. Its a risk. Its why race teams spend loads in R&D. But we are not racers, and most of us aren't on a race team, let alone have the money to develop our vehicles through extensive R&D (which is why we're so trusting of evals in the first place). This is why the aftermarket performance sales community (especially import) is a multi-billion dollar industry.
My point is, don't believe the hype. Try it yourself.

>>I commented in another thread that I have had a very positive experience with the plasma booster in my 2003 MCS (15% pulley, EvoTech ECU upgrade, Noloigy wires, wide throttle body, Mania header and Borla cat-back). Again, there is no question that in my car, the subjective throttle response is much smoother. For you to suggest that many of us who have had good results with the plasma booster are experiencing the "placebo effect" is not only inappropriate but a bit disingenuous. Perhaps your post could have been phrased with a less authoritative overtone, since I don't believe anyone has conducted a controlled trial using rigorous scientific methodology with this product in either the MC or MCS. Our respective experiences are anecdotal, and they should be taken as such.

Bob,
Here ya go! M7 Eval
This was done using very controlled parameters, and several dyno runs that were about the average of the one posted. As I stated, I can't do mileage testing, just because of all of the other testing I do, and the time commitment mileage testing requires.
