I believe there is a pic floating around here somewhere. I cannot seem to find it. I will keep looking.

off topic I saw you have the Milltek catback. How do you like it? Notice any difference?

Cool!

I think the Black FMIC would look badass on your ride without the lower grill. My only concern would be damage from road debris??

road damage shouldnt be too big, you probably get more bug guts than anything

Yea, big time bug guts. I would really worry about what's going to protect the front of your intercooler now. This just seems like a bad idea. The grill is there for a reason.

Wetceal had her front bumper grill cut so just the sides were showing and then she had a black intercooler. Search her posts and you will find some pics of it.

Here are my pics but I installed the grill back because the intercooler was getting damage with all the rocks from the street and track.

Hey Fern, What intercooler is that one?

Are you still running your unichip? still dealing with the p115d? I had to sell mine, a year with that code was enough for me

Thanks! It was easy enough to cut using a cutoff wheel and then took some sand paper to round off the edges. Looks fantastic!

I've had mine on for about 6k miles and still looks pretty ding free... A few here and there. I dont worry about bigger stuff......if its big enough to "dent" the IC....it would have probably went right thru the plastic mesh.

My Forge FMIC looks good enough to put on display, but after having my Mini for a while and seeing what a rock magnet it seems to be, I'd rather keep the grill (actually ordered/installed the chromeline lower grill).

If you really want to let people know you've got a big/aftermarket intercooler, you could always use some radiator paint & a stencil on it, that'll show through the stock grill. M7 also has some grill kits that'll make it more visible...
