Hi Yeagy...

Thanks for asking about our car. The system is finished and is very driveable but as we were expecting our piggy back
computer yesterday and did not receive the unit for installation full throttle pulls were not possible.
On wednesday the car will be dyno'd and tuned so stay tuned.
The sound is absolutely fantastic and to die for you hear the Turbo spool up and when you get off the throttle the
BOV make it sound like a WRC car.......Yuummmmy.
I f you are local let us know and we are more then happy to let you come for a test drive that will put a smile on your
lippppppps.

Here's an image of our two cars the turbo and the M7-Venom nitrous car, I took a very lucky winner of the nitrous kit
out for a test drive to get an idea how it feels.....She was blown away, I hope she posts a comment how it felt or possibly
some one else that went with me.

That set up looks pretty good. How much boost are you running?

I'm looking forward to seeing some results. I was under the impression that the system was done from Peter's statement:

"I'm happy to tell you our Turbo system for the Mini Cooper is finaly [sic] done. "

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...9&forum=35

Obviously, this is not the case. I'll be interested to see what the finished product looks like when it is ready for sale.

Hi...

We did turn the boost down to prevent lean condition or detonation until the new fuel computer gets installed
and calibrated we will see something like 7-10 psi depending on how the tuning comes out. I personaly would like to see
about 150-165 hp for the CARB certified unit. The system is capable of putting out 200hp but I would consider
our new soon to come water-air intercooler giving that extra buffer of safety.

Andy thanks for checking in....

We expected our computer module friday but did not receive it in time to install. The car runs beautifully starts
on the first try, does not trow any EML codes and drives very nicely, only problem is that we need the fuel computer
to not lean out the engine, expect dyno sheets and more next week. Cosmeticaly we are 95% there but we will make custom silicone connectors and the charge pipe will be anodized and etched with our name.

Hi Julie.....

You know it's like being Santa Clause in the middle of summer (it was hot today) and taking julie out for a drive and to see the reaction from her was worth it all. And she is right the effect of the M7-venom kit is pretty mind blowing
slamming you in to the seat throwing you forward with such force.......... it's addictive.

Thanks again Julie.

Thanks for all the info Peter - Every since I road in my buddies 1.8T civic (B16 bored out) I have wanted a turbo. Cant wait to hear final numbers and price. How big of a shot is the venom/m7 nitrous kit? And did I read it right that it cost ~$850?

Peter,

What kind of exhaust will the turbo run? Will it bolt up to a cat-back Borla system for example or will the kit include the exhaust system?

You can use any cat back system on the market that is freeflowing (less back pressure = faster Turbo spoolup).
And no we will not include the exhaust but stay tuned as we do have a new exhaust system in the works and it is
our own design not a privat label deal.

M7 thanks again for all the wondeful raffles you did at the rally. We were trying to find more info on the system, I realize its a custom between M7 and Venom does it use the VCN1000 or the VCN2000 for the basemodel or is it another component. We are having problems trying to access the M7 site. great product and look forward to using it.

>>quick question... when will the CARB certified kit be available?

Greetings...........

The M7/ Venom kit is based on the VCN 1000........

CARB cert will be finalized as soon as we get the car back from final dyno tuning and that looks like towards the end of this week. Now this does not mean that the certification will be awarded next week as that could take some time but
we can put the unofficial (CARB certification pending) on the kit and as soon as we get the exempt # we will send out the label to each owner of the kit. All of you who got a M7 Plasma Booster has seen the carb excempt label I'm talking about.

My Buddy Doug has now put some mileage on the kit and the only anomaly that he's seen so far is a little wawering in the idle which I'm confident will be fixed with the new fuel computer. The car is running nice and cool not even moving past the center position which is great........

The only other thing he's telling me is that the new sound from the engine has raised many curious eye brows whistling and poping or as Doug say's ......Snarling like a lion
