Drivetrain Highest Mileage Pulley Mod ??
10K on Blubelle, 6k with the pulley. As many modders have been part of a Randy Webb pulley party, I'd bet that the majority of pulleys have been installed from April '03 to date. Six months ain't much time for 20k. But, that said, absolutely no problems to date post install.

installed yesterday and only twenty miles. but what a difference to say a old saying zoom zoom. or how about just kick my butt to get me going. this thing sure does that. it is diffently a kick in the rear. sounds meaner too.
So far I'm the leader! 27k miles, 16k miles with the pulley! (Helix pulley, that is).
Andy - speaking of balding tires - I had to replace the front ones already (17" Goodyear All-season runflats). I had some non-related warranty work done last month and that's basically what my dealer said about the pulley and tires. I asked why did my tires go bald so quickly. It went like this:
Me "Any idea why my front tires went bald so fast?"
Dealer "That's an aftermarket supercharger pulley you have, right?"
Me "Yeah, so?"
Dealer "You're spinning you tires too much. That's why they're going bald"

Most tires on sports cars, or sporty cars (whatever you consider the MCS) wear much quicker than your typical tire on a four door sedan. Probably because we drive the car harder. 20,000 for front tires is alot on a car driven hard. I need a new set of tires for my Corvette Z06 at 16,000 miles and My 03 M3 was close to needing a set of front tires at 10,000 miles.
It's all in how you drive the car. Perhaps a pulley brings out more agressive driving, I know it will when I get mine.

We have one customer who has 47,000 miles and got his pulley done here at 8,000. Moreover, his miles are like dog years: he treats his car like a truck-stop hooker. Full burnouts on a cold motor, hand brake turns, etc. We changed his belt last week, even though it didn't have unusual wear. The car's a trooper.
Getting it done at the dealer????....I would think that many installers out there would have more experience than the dealer....besides you'll pay an "arm and a leg" for that kind of work.....Good luck...

39,000, We have a new leader !!!
That should help cure some waranty fears.
>>"Why does everyone wait after thousands of miles for the install? I was planning on getting it done at the dealer prior to delivery. Bad idea? "
Which is one reason to delay the install. I guess I am suprised the dealer would install a pulley. What are they saying about the warranty ??? That could determine the "bad idea" or not. It could be said that breaking in the motor while the full waranty is intact before the pulley is added is a better idea.

Thanks, TwOMINIs, but the issue isn't so much as who will do the install, but rather why does everyone wait. Why are there differences of thousands of miles between overall milage and pulley milage? To make it more succient, is there any reason to wait?
By the way, the dealer here in Colorado has offered to do this when my MCS is delvered late Dec/ early Jan.

I guess it's amazing my RUNFLATS make it that far on a super handling front wheel drive car!!!

I waited 11k miles but for me that's quick. It didn't even take me 5 months!
