I should think you would be real close to the 200 WHP mark with the mods you are looking at.. Actually I figure in the 185-195 HP range. The whole Idea is to have fun..yes?? And it will be a fun ride.. for sure!!

Those prices are the usual here in N.Fl... well here where I am anyways.. But he is in Tn.. different payscales..yes?? LOL

How 'bout that?
There ya go! Including the head in all of this for under 2k was crazy talk.

Not really... just depends on where you are.. the labor cost.. and the cost of the parts.. The costs I posted for parts.. are pretty much right on !! Esp the cost of the TPT-1 Head. And if he did it all ..his last post.. AND a head.. he could be at 220-230 at the wheels... I shouldnt think Crazy talk comes in here... just where you are in the US and the cost you are paying.... ( ah the beauty of the internet. World wide shopping..yes??)

However with what he is looking at for mods... he will have a fun ride... and I'll bet the Dragon will be ripped up by him in the near future!! Good ole Tn. Hills!!

Don't want to hijack the thread but it seems like the 15% pulley, one ball exhaust and intake mod would be a great low cost project for a little bit more power. But how much power just curious. how much more hp?

I 3rd this, if your $2,000.00 budget is firm you had better figure on $1500.00 parts and labor and $500.00 for the unexpected's (besides if you end up finished and didn't need this you've got yourself a new rear sway bar; solid upper engine mount and damper.)

If it were me:

DT / bpv
15% pulley
Cam
Exhaust
Injectors
Tune (including rpm bump, even an x-tra 500rpm is ton's of fun)

Most of this is bolt on and really basic for any mechanic without any mini specific expertise (actually cam may be the only thing that most people may not want to tackle themselves) and as far as mini specific mechanics go if your in TN your inbetween two of the best (Way & Chad)

As far as a head is concerned if you want to make big power it is a must, that being said without all or most of the the above mods (especially exhaust) you wont get what you should out if it and will have to live with that. (I know.... I did head first with a stock JCW exhaust.....it absolutley sucks to do a head injectors and tune and still only see 210 to 215 hp because your choking the s**t out of the head)

And if you've already done all the above mods get another $2,000.00 together do the head and retune ( $2,000.00 parts, labor and cushion) and hello 240+!!!
