Drivetrain RMW Tune Carlisle, PA
I'm still good for Wednesday per the schedule.
Hey I am sorry, I didnt make it, i am still having issues with the starter and had to pull the transmission....I thought I was scheduled for thursday, guess I should of checked the forum this week.....sorry..
What a great experience. I questioned whether this would be worth it based on the fact that my mods are mild (15% and CAI) but I still can't get the grin off my face.
Jan took my ragged curve and transformed it into a curve starting at 140 lbft @2250 to a flat power band just under 175 beginning at 3250 to 5225 and then a slight decline to 150+ at 6500 where it flattened again.
Sparky has always been perky but the 15% pulley resulted in a high-pitched spooling sound at accelleration--now the power is there throughout the gears and the sound is a deeper tone as a result.
High hp was 199.7/175lbft on a Dynopack at 81* and 74% ambient temp and humidity, (final run was 195, but the torque is where it is at).
Smooth as silk and running like a sewing machine. My half hour trip back from Carlisle took almost 2 hours...
Thanks drsilvermini, you are a great organizer and friend.
Great meeting you Flynscot1772, glad you had a good trip--what were your results in the GP?

I was there at Innovative yesterday. Thanks for everything!
The car's driveability is awesome! I didn't think driving a MINI could get better, but it did! My face hurt from smiling last night on the drive home.
drsilvermini, thanks for organizing.
Glad to see my old MINI friends and as always, to meet new ones.
Thanks for a positive learning experience and a great day!

Thanks to John for setting up this event and to Jan for working his magic. My bone stock GP went from 184.7 HP / 167.1 TQ to 204.1 HP / 170.8 TQ. Drivability has improved significantly and it pulls to a whole new level. Very impressive for a stock car with just a custom tune. I am very glad I made the trip.
hope i speak for everyone by saying a good time was had by all......lots of smiling faces
. enjoyed destroying late night acuras with jan
. big thanks to doctor john for pulling this thing off
