Drivetrain MegaMynes Header Dyno Results
MegaMynes Header Dyno Results
Well, we took the MegaMynes Straight header off the 06 MCS and threw it back on the dyno, and here are the results:
Swapped the STOCK header in place of the MM Header, car LOST 10WHP & 8WTQE.
The tune of the car was not touched at all; all we did was removed the MM Header, installed the stock header, and strapped it back on the dyno. Temperature was actually about 20-degrees F cooler today than it was fours days ago. Car is running on 91 Octane with 15% pulley, MegaMini Cam shaft (Hubie1), 550cc Bosch Injectors and Invidia CAT-Back Exhaust.
Stock header = Solid lines
MegaMynes header = Dotted lines

Back when we first installed the MM Straight header, the gain was +9WHP & +9WTQE... So the delta of the header removal is within +/- 1 WHP/WTQE, which is within the margin of error. Original post listed below... The gains were obtained while running E85, but the DELTA was the same no matter what gas we're running - which is something we've been saying all along

I'd say at least 10dbs... but with that loss, i also lost the quick throttle response of the MM header.
On a side note, this was the first time i got to drive the Mini home after the MM Cam (Hubie1) installation; boi, this things pulls a lot harder than the Newman
where the Newman tappers off at 6500rpm, the MM cam just keep pulling until i upshift... if you let it, this cam will pull all the way thru 7500
it was soo smooth i didn't even know i had hit 7500
Ewwww, with the MM BVH, the MegaMynes stepped header and this cam... that's going to be one SICK combo
