I have been off awhile and as usual, there is already lots of crap being said here by the same people without even hearing it.
Hey Oxtox, nice sound
...but wait... I thought the only one that sounds good is the almightly one that throws CEL? (just joking).
I have not installed mine yet as it has been busy at work. I have to take some paperworks at home to catch up. Maybe this week.

oxtox - Nice video with some nice sounding clips!
The exhaust is a little loud for my taste, but that could be the catback system, or perhaps it's just because I'm not hearing it first hand in person. Sometimes things sound different on video or through computer speakers as well.
I noticed in the one pic in your clip that you didn't have the heat shield mounted, perhaps it was for the pic or maybe it's your preference, but are you still able to mount the heat shield?

If you're too busy to slap it on I could swap it out for a small fee.
I'm on a layoff at work this week; this darned economy....

. i was not gentle with the throttle in my video.the mynes header, and the rmw, are considerably bigger than the oem unit. they also have a more linear flow. these attributes come at the expense of space. i suppose the heat shield could have been mounted....but would have taken considerable modification and time...which i did not have. the engine bay does seem hotter.
two other things i didn't think to mention. first, no drone! i did have a bit of a drone at highway speeds with the milltek....it is now gone
. second, no cel
. btw, i am quite noise sensative. i find that after a week, it doesn't seem as loud. now all i need is a tune.......
Oh yeah and Oxtox you MCS sounds goooooood!
Jeremy
Thanks for the feedback oxtox. Knowing that you were not gentle with the throttle helps to understand the sound level. If you can cruise and it's not that loud, then it opens up when you get on it, then that's good in my book. Happy motoring to you!
did another test on the header and got some pretty interesting results:
We took the MM Straight header off and repalced it with the Stock one, my Green Machine lost 10WHP & 8WTQE.
So those who have installed the MM Straight headers on the MCS, your butt-dyno is probably feeling the increased HP/Tqe, as well as the quicker throttle response. We have shown the power increase in our previous tests, but now, we have done a reverse-testing and the results are confirmed
Results posted here:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...o-results.html
We are currently taking pre-orders... once all the back-orders are filled, then units will be shipped to your local stocking dealers
Retail price:
$799 for the MM Straight Header
$849 for the MM Stepped Header
$160 for optional coating of the header unit ONLY (Jet-Hot Black or Extreme Sterling)
cheers.

It's getting coated right now; once it's done, then it's going to get shipped out ASAP
Mynes Headers
Mike: What is your opinion on wrapping your headers? Since they are made out of stainless steel there shouldn't be any breakdown of the metal. Wouldn't this help greatly with heat since replacing the oem heat shield is a hassle. And wouldn't taking off the heat shield just behind the engine help with air flow through the engine compartment. I haven't seen any treads regarding your headers that addressing the above. Thanks for response, Keith

1) modifying the stock heat shield to fit the header
2) heat wrapping the runners
3) Jet-Hot coating ***
***Jet-hot coating is offered to my customers at almost cost to counter the heat issue... and many have taken advantage of this option. Heat wrapping is OK too, but the wraps will flake and deteriorate over time... So Jet-Hot coating is the best option IMHO

Thank you Jeremy. It's really good to have someone as passionate in Mini install this header. I am sorry if it took longer because of that darn bolt that scared us that it might cross-thread the aluminum head
. Thank God it didn't.This header lives to its claim: Better throttle response & harder acceleration. The install was also easy being 2 piece and aligns perfectly.
Yes it sounds loud & deep and insanely loud on full throttle. My IE cat-back sounds deep but deeper with the MegaMynes Header
We have to trim the sides of the heat shield that connects to the head to clear up the runners. The pre-cat O2 sensor is also a bit too close to the heat shied so decided to trim a bit too. I will also re-torque the bolts tomorrow.
Again, thanks Jeremy. We could have more beer if it was not getting late
It was a nice 1 hour drive back home.
greetings from the dragon! my car is pullin like mad
if you know someone at the dragon ask them if they heard the brg cabrio. i am the loudest car here....but have received many compliments.
a slight fitment issue with the milltek can...fixed. and in the interest of absolute truth (sometimes a novelty on nam) i got a p0420 code after cruising about 200 miles @ 75. a friend cleared the code and it has not occurred....and i have been doing at least 3 runs a day....and i have not been gentle.

Yea, I had some thumbs up from teens this afternoon too when I revved it up. It sounds loud but good and not ricey at all. Hey, Oxtox, I am glad that you're enjoying your new Megamynes header and people at the Dragon are complimenting it.

I will keep posting on the progress and reliability of this header (good & bad). Good luck in your classic Mini project. Maybe, we'll do a Hubie 1 cam install on mine next spring.

Day 3. At highway speeds 100-110 kms/hour.
The sound is not offensive at all in both close and open windows & sunroof. Inside the tunnel: lovely.
5K-7K rpm: attention getter (including Patrol).
I have to adjust alignment of my tip as it leaned a bit to the passenger side.
So far:
