Mike & the Mynes crew: you had a special surprise at AMVIV - the big-valve header specific to BV heads, which I thought was totally awesome. When do you anticipate this piece going into production?

Thanks. It was great meeting you guys as well. We look forward to introducing more goodies to the Mini Community. Pls check our website for the latest products. We added something to our website as well
Mynes, I think you've got a problem over on your forum. I keep getting this
"Sorry, this site does not accept user older than 99 years old"
I'm not playing around with my brithdate either
thanks for the heads up. i will look into it as soon as i get to the shop We just got that portion up and running yesterday and that's why we didn't announce it yet
Whoops Well, I noticed a few already beat me to it, but can't wait till it's up and running.
Yes indeed. We want it to have more control over the postings and a place where Mini owners can quickly go for product support, product updates, and technical info

Its a great idea Mike. I have noticed more speedshop/manufactures are adding a forum on their sites for the exact same reasons. It really eliminates the what I call "Voids of Drama" where theres like 50 posts of just drama between what really matters.

Everyone should have a forum on their site if they manufacture performance parts.......because its all about being The Best at Supporting your Product not the front runner for best dramatic performance.
I don't think he has data-logged any mileage yet. My mileage varies from tank to tank, but I will try to track it better and report back. I usually get roughly 330 miles per tank on 91 with all the basic bolt on's

Fuel Economy:
91 octane - 22/24mpg
E85 (vegas trip) - 17.8 MPG going there (Phx to Vegas); 18.5 MPG (Vegas to Kingman) / 19 MPG (Kingman back to Phx) freeway with spirited driving.

Thanks. If it wasn't spirited driving, I think you would be right there with the 91 octane numbers. So could it be that with E85 you can have your cake and eat for less (power, mileage and cost)?

It kinda depends on the price difference between the E85 and 91 octane.
Gas prices in vegas:
91 Octane: 2.35/gal
E85: 1.95/gal
Gas prices in Phx:
91 Octane: 2.08/gal
E85: 1.99/gal
So in Vegas, your $ goes about the same... but for Phx, it's cheaper to go on 91 ... but for me, the extra octane is worth the extra. For comparison, 100 octane race gas is 5.99/gal
