Mini Madness OS Giken LSD? Anyone tried it?

So it looks like Mini Madness is first to market with a real LSD for the R56 MCS. The stock LSD is a useless tractionless turd (under anything less than ideal dry conditions). It's an adjustable clutch type diff, but I have to question the point of getting an adjustable diff when any adjustment requires R&R & teardown of the trans to make changes.
Anyone have any input/first hand experience ?

Are you saying the standard LSD (ie. open) is crap or the optional LSD (25%~ lockup)? I have the standard and have driven an R56 with the optional LSD and the difference is day and night

AC Schnitzer have announced a LSD for the R56 too, no prices as yet though. I'll probably go with one of these options, no sign of anything from Quaife yet...

I'm saying the optional "mechanical" LSD I ordered/recieved with my Mini is a turd and shouldn't be called a "Limited" slip differential because there is no limit & no lockup.

Yes, it is an improvement over the standard open differential, but compared to a "real"/traditional LSD, it's seriously lacking. The optional LSD from Mini only offers UP TO 30% transfer of torque, so when one tire breaks traction and starts spinning, the other tire gets 30% of nothing :P

Powering out of tight corners, wet roads, or other less than ideal conditions, I want both front tires doing their best to pull me in the direction I'm steering instead of the dreaded understeer plow, and only a real LSD can do that.

I have the CUSCO, and have it set on 60% and it engages quickly and hard. Feels like a crab ..... I was told by the Grand Am guys... RSR that it's good.

they were right.... best LSD I have tried
I have heard good things about the OS product though but have NOT tested it

to clear up any confusion... the stock differential is not a "LSD"

LSD stands for Limited Slip Differential. The stock one is just a plain old differential.

The optinal differential is in fact a LSD, albeit a fairly weak one.

For the price its not so bad though... aftermarket LSDs cost on average 1500 and thats without installation.
