Also, removing the 2nd cat shouldn't do a whole lot to emissions. The first cat in the DP is the one that does all the work

E-check?

Short for emissions check......mandated in many urban areas in Ohio (and elsewhere) where the overall air pollution rate is higher than Big Brother determines it should be. The e-check is done an all cars of a certain age (don't recall specifics) and is done in a government facility. Required before you renew your license. Let's hear it for cleaner air.

We just call it emissions/inspection. You do it ever year in NY. THey check you rlights , tires etc. In FL we dont have it though, wish we did.

maybe they check emissions there. When I lived in Philly, they would put a hose on the exhaust and if it didn't check out right then you had two choices: 1)Grease the palm of the guy doing it(I don't recommend this) 2)Fix the problem to pass inspection
