One ball mod 9 HP??

I called the guys as fast toys this morning and questioned them about their dyno results. Apparently they are claiming a 9 hp difference with the one ball mod. He performed a dyno run with a cone filter and then again with the one ball mod and gained 9 HP! He said he was surprised to see those results too. The dyno runs were with in an hour of each other.

What do you guys think?? Have you seen or felt a noticeable difference in performance?

Joe

For the money its worth it. Not too loud, not too expensive, and a decent amount of weight loss. 9hp, who knows....

the most amount i have noticed was when I cut my firewall to allow more air in the CAI. the one-ball makes a slight difference if you have enough air getting sucked in. That extra muffler probably weighs 30 pounds. Plus I only paid 30 bucks to have mine done

9 HP just for the one-ball, probably not.
It is a nice mod for the sound and weight savings but I would guess the HP gain is insignificant.

It was my understanding they got 9hp - combining free flow filter & 1-ball.

that makes sense if they added both after the 1st run, but 9 from the one-ball alone... I'd say it might be worth 2-3hp

Thats impossible, unless they used a dynojet

Unless the other muffler had a family of mice living inside it

As a man of science, anything that's one trial, change something, and then one more trial is completely invalid. Show me a +9HP average over several dyno charts and I'll buy it.

From a 1-ball to an open exhaust.. I gained 3 WHP!! I didnt run a dyno befor I mod'd the exhaust.. I think the 9 HP is pretty close to actual gains... from stock to the "1-ball " mod!!

Just me..............................

i think it might be right too. allowing more air in and releaving back pressure out is always beneficial, especially with forced induction
