Dropped it into a thread on MINI2

Think ill take them up on the group buy as I'm in the UK! They claim 215bhp stock and 235bhp with a turbo back exhaust (Milltek) maybe a little more with an intercooler (forge).
All figures are crank and not wheel, I know that winds you yanks up!

It is getting a little annoying, everything is senseless until a viable tuning option is available. I am trying to decide whether or not to ditch the Mini and look for something else, or drop a boat load of cash into solving more CEL's.

Exactly. 135 is looking better and better every day. Had a press fleet 135 for the weekend a couple months back. Thing was off the hook in stock form. With light work I've seen it run neck and neck with Lambos.

I actually have this remap and can say that it is fantastic
BHP figures aside, it completely transforms the car and makes it so mich more fun to drive. No CELs (done about 7000 miles now), no issues and mpg has gone up 1-2mpg on average!!

I agree with futureal33. I also have this remap and have done atleast 5000 miles and had no problems whatsoever, No CELs etc and it definetly transforms the car and i couldnt be happier with it! Very torquey and great power makes for some fun driving

Sorry, never updated the thread...

I emailed them, their response was, "Sorry no US vendors available, however if I send them my DME they will remap it and return it to me." So it is a no go for the USA based on that. After all there are already three other vendors I can send my DME to to get tuned stateside.

So still looking for a tuner....

So to revive this thought... Did you get any details of what they are using for hardware and who developed the software to do the tune?

What is your source, because they told me they have no plans to offer their product here.

Have they worked out the differences in configuration in the US and European ECU's?

Paramount use tuning boxes, to be precise Steinbauer tuning boxes. http://www.steinbauer.cc/neu/index.p...r_engine=16656

Good to see your the potential source, are you going to be a traveling resource for remaps or only based in a certain area?

I imagine it is lots of up front cost and substantial overhead. It still looks interesting on the original website.

Really do wish the U S would catch up.

Hey guys, I can't release all the details yet, but we are aware of another choice coming out for the R56 (and R53) in the next couple months, that will be going through the OBDII port as well. Likely in the $700-850 range.

Once I have more details I will 100% post up everything. Nice to have more options for the R56 in the coming months!
