I'm here once again trying to get the ball rolling on an RMW tune session in the northwest. Since I need a tune asap, I would like to encourage Canadians and all surrounding area Mini drivers to get in on one of these successful RMW ECU tune sessions. Anyone interested? Anyone get new parts from RMW that they would like a remap for?

jan is working on a way to remote tune . i also just got my rmw head on the car and would love to throw some 440cc injectors into it and have the tune.
we will have to wait at least a month before he is ready . do not hold me on that , things may take longer ... but that was the response i got when i asked him.
i live on vancouver island . any one else with modded minis from the island here ?

Oops! I didn't realize that Victoria wasn't it's own island and that is was on Vancouver Island. That's what I meant. Victoria is beautiful though
Can a moderator change that in the Title?

Just thought I would toss this back on the main page to gather interest. Any newbies out there with minis or new parts that need a well deserved tuning?

Vancouver would make much more sense, as far as I know nobody has tried to get Jan to come. I've sent him an email, just today actually.... My cousin owns a shop which has the only Dynapack system in Western Canada, located 5 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Victoria wouldn't make much sense, I'm certainly not going to spend $120 on the ferry + whatever it costs for the tune to go to Vic and neither are the majority of people who would want to get an RMW tune... PM me and we can talk more and maybe get some Seattle folks up here. I'm surprised - you have all those mods and no kind of tune? Are you in for a treat or what!

Clint, as you know my car was having issues last time we tired to get Jan to come. However, due to my schedule, I am not sure anything in Vancover could happen for me until Feb.

I just heard back from Jan and he can't come to Canada by air until he gets his passport. So, on hold for now... But I didn't hear a no!

Can you elaborate?

Edit: I just read your post above. I'm blind...
Well, I work in IT so I know all about remote access for computers... very very easy to set up. Almost TOO easy... so maybe I can help.

I would rather have the man there in person, it intimidates the cars into becoming faster

jan is working on a way where he can do a remote tune on cars. i really do not know how this will be done. mabe it is a generic tune setup for people who have his head and cam etc. or mabe he has a way that he can tune your car over the net to a dyno where your car is being tuned.

he really did not go into detail with me when i was told about it.
mabe someone has more info for us ?

Is there a local Vancouver forum where people can get informed or sign up? RatBlast, Seatosky, how are you informing people of an RMW tune? Even a remote tune can be useful for many people. So keep us informed if you get one going.

Hopefully this is something that can wait till the spring or summer. My car is back in Prince George for the winter. I was at the last tune in Tacoma. This would give me a chance to get new injectors and then retune for the bigger injectors.
Wooo hooo more power more mods.

There is still the possibility of this coming to BC. Here. Anyone interested should post on here or on the VMCC forum and we can keep this idea a possibility.

I'm interested. I've also sent an email to Seatosky.

Clint: Rally the local guys.

It's REALLY the best performance investment anyone can make!

I'm on it. Lets get a name list going. As soon as we get 8 or 9 cars we can set a date. I'm pretty sure Jan's going to want to do it at Speedfactory (speedfactoryracing.net) If Canadians want Jan numbers talk!!!

Clint: I've been collecting the names of a few people in Vancouver who would be up for a local tune, and have been in touch with a few other people as well (Craig Miller) who would even come from the US. We have the facilities, now all we need is Jan... And it would be great to have him come up for a day or two if he is already in the NW doing a tune.

The numbers aren't talking, they're screaming

Bryan: Take Jan to the post office and get him to apply for a passport; I'll even pay for it.

Clint: Does your GF always dress like that when working on your car? And why would we want to drive all the way down to TheSpeedFactory from Anacortes / Burlington when we can drive half the distance to Vancouver.

Spenser: There's got to be dozens of Mini owners in Vancouver, dying for an RMW tune, to justify a trip; and I'm sure you canm count on Clint and me.

Let's not plead .... let's demand that Jan get up here!

I had no idea he didn't have a passport. I'll see what I can do to help.
