All the Zeemax MINI's are horrible!

Problem with the R8 is they are too common. No, really. I was on my lunch break last week and saw three in the 15 minute drive up the road to thinkmini. Guess its all the city boys with their posh houses and cars in the countryside around here.

Tried doing a google image search for a rear shot of one but no luck. Just a thought.

cosmetic piece might help the melting issue just have the actual tips oval and set back a bit

I like the look of those tips. Awhile back I came across a simple set of twin megaphone type tips that merged into one nice inlet and for the life of me now that I need them I can't find them again . They were simple painted black , " race " style if you will, Anyone seen such an animal ?

They could've done a better job with that M3 looking rear bumper. Doesn't flow well IMO. Any pics of the rest of the car and/or different angles?

found some that depending on measurements may work for the rear pass thru.

I'm thinking about doing something along these lines. I've got the MINI-Link, or MINI-FINI or whatever (bought the car with it)'receivers' coming out of the rear grill and I've always hated answering questions about them. "what are those, machine guns?" or "do you have four exhaust tips or are you just trying to LOOK like it?". I've tried painting them black and capping them off but, now that I'm thinking about it, an exhaust tip coming out on either side of the mounts would be sweet and would 'even up' the rear end's appearance.

I am in the same boat with a car that came with the MINI sportlink. Not sure there is room with the sport link in place to pass an exhaust through. (and there is snow around my car so I'm not checkin)

My main concern is that it wouldn't flow well and reduce power while increasing back pressure. There isn't much space back there. Some of the designs/photoshops that were posted would make it difficult to route exhaust pipes probably resulting ina performance loss

actually, if some of these people use some of the pail pipes they want, i think that they well have to remove the battery box and re-locate it, and while they were at it, they could easily just opt for straight exhaust, greatly enhancing the exhaust performance and making their cars mo-louder (or at least people have told me that mini's are uber-loud with an aftermarket exhaust in a straight config that is not a turbo-back exhaust)

I can absolutely guarantee that a straight pipe on an R53 is unpossibly loud. I have never heard anything on a mini that loud that didn't involve the absence of an exhaust. I am on my second straight system in an attempt to get something I can actually drive. Another NAMer went through 5 systems before he got it right. It's expensive--tips are cheap.

The sideskirts are ugly but the front and rear bumpers have potential if they would clean them up a bit. They're much too busy and thus riced out (the rear way more than the front)...

Look into Porsche exhaust tips as they aren't as long as others. Aftermarket tips are pricey at like $400-500 for a pair but they look SO sick.

OK, lots of tips are cheap, but Porsche ones are expensive. I looked into them for my new exhaust but even the Boxster/Caymen ones were $350 ish. a little too rich for me.

Phil were you running one muffler and a resonator? I'm thinking of doing a straight with a split and 2 smaller mufflers to kill the sound while removing the bends

My first straight exhaust was a single 2.5" muffler with 2x 3.5" round tips. My second exhaust uses chambered mufflers, so it's a 2.5" core split into 2x 2" cores with two tips that form a split oval. It doesn't kill the sound...

umm. if you have not noticed, a lot of people around here have brakes like that . that is basically a brig brake kit, but those are more the size of the porshe brake conversion kit some people on here are running, but many peoples brake kits on here require 17" wheels, and even then some 17's are too small. (just to give ya a size idea). you only need the big brakes in the front and not the back because most braking is done up front. If you were to ger a set of rear big brakes, it would mainly be for cosmetics (you wouldnt get much improved braking from it, so most of the value would be in cosmetics)

Those are a 4 piston BBK. I personally think they look awesome. They come in blue (shown on the convertible) and black.

I love how you start off with "ummm". Very classy I must say I HAVE noticed and that's why I stated what I did. MOST people around here aren't running enormous calipers like the ones shown above. You even said it yourself. "some people on here are running.." Thanks for the lesson on what a brig brake kit is...i'm kind of new to this whole automobile thing so a lesson from the guy who sticks to "easy bolt on mods" really does go along way...thanks. When I think of a big brake kit I think of this:

Or in extreme situations.....this:

And that is TCE Todd's biggest kit..14" rotors and his calipers are not as big as the one shown above. Talk to Todd or read some of his posts, he'll even tell you that in most situations a 12.2 kit is fine for a track car....call it overkill, call it bling whatever but those monsters above are really ridiculous and not needed on a 2600 lb car. It's also going to add alot of unsprung weight....they must weigh more than that stock calipers.....no? Why would you want to add even more weight?? I always thought you want to switch to a lighter wheel and then lighter brakes lowering the amount of unsprung weight. Oh there I go talking crazy and stupid again! There's also no problem with having a little brake balance on a car. All that stopping power could really upset a car going into a turn. Yes I know the brakes aren't responsible for most of the braking but they do contribute, however massive massive calipers up front are going to make the rears completely useless and, I would have to assume, cause the front end to nosedive severely under hard use. But it looks like that car is meant for parking lots anyways so I guess functionality isn't really a concern for the owner. You can imply that I'm crazy or retarded but I know I'm alot more sane and educated than you make me out to be....and stop laughing!! you're not funny

Oh and just to clarify.....maybe i was a little too harsh with my words before on that car. I do like it to an extent. I like the side skirts but it looks like they only match the ends to cars with painted flares so that's a no go for me and a lot of others. I also like the front bumper too but the dual fog light thing just doesn't work. The rear bumper I'm not to fond of....it looks very busy with all the grooves and angles going on. Other than that its a cool car but some of it just is way too much.....in my opinion only of course. Just wanted to be clear about what I said the other day.
