Traqmate in Gear calculations.

I know this is not a popular mod, but might as well post it so its archived for someone down the road.

After a lot of data digging and some calculations. Finally got my Traqmate setup with the proper Final Drive Ratio Calculation. Here are the numbers you'll need. These number will work for '02 > 06/2004 build 6sp manual.

Step1: enter your tire size.
Step2: Differential = 2.74
Step3: Gear - Trans
1 - 4.18
2 - 2.62
3 - 1.96 (just plug these number into Traqmate, 3rd and 4th gear ratio number have been calculated to account for the different output shaft)
4 - 1.61
5 - 1.33
6 - 1.09

I wonder if these will also work for my G2X. I've been having a devil of a time trying to calibrate the gear selection display while driving. They do allow for a plug in the numbers method as well. I'll have to try these.

try it for G2x.

I had tried a bunch of numbers, spec numbers posted at MINI2, number from NAM posts. But all of them were way off for the way Traqmate calculates. Finally got this set from Vehix.com which I just need to recalculate 3rd/4th as they are on a different output drive. This set of number looked promising as they were in the rang of reference numbers provided by Traqmate Help manual. I took the car on a 30 mile test drive... all the gear mapped out perfectly.

Now I just need to figure out throttle and brake position.

Gnatster, FYI here are what the G2X auto-calibrate calculated for my car. They seem very accurate to me (for my tire size).

Speed Ratios
1st 1787
2nd 1060
3rd 793
4th 642
5th 534
6th 432

I'm curious how these sets of numbers relate to the Traqmate calculations...hmmm.....(I have to go back & look up the equations the G2X uses)

Did you ever use Gran Turismo 4 to check the ratios? I've actually found it to be quite accurate. Actually I'm going to check it right now.

Nevermind, I realized that my memory sticks are my gf's house since I upgraded to PS3 and let her keep my PS2 stuff. Somebody else check though...
