1.pulley (the pulley that is right for what you want the car to do)

3. cam to fit with header
4. tune (this will always need to be done after last part added)
5. possibly injectors
6. head (will now need big injectors)
7. custom catback
8. possibly w2a but needs to be high flow at this point

for your question , the different headers require different timing/air fuel maps to optimize them
Would it not also be appropriate to tune again after step 6, the head & injectors?

This is a very interesting list. My next purchase was gonna be your catback, but apparently that ain't the best way to spend my cash. Anyone you know of have your header with a stock exhaust?

I will be posting pictures of it as we get it done

the technology is in this experimental muffler that we are building ourselves. If it quiets the car its worth it

this catback will be available for both headers if it works

TVS looks to be >3" maybe 3.5"??? It would be a prefect match for a coffee can or mini-keg exhaust.

I had the shorty header with stock exhaust for about 1500 miles. What questions do you have about it?

Oh, I'd like to see the installation and hear how the combination sounds. Were you able to maintain the heatshield (I understand that some modification of that item may be required)?

I like the stealth concept of a header with the stock exhaust.

For the money and ease of installation. (not having to modify your current catback) the shorty does a great job. The most we have gotten with the shorty is 258whp. The most on the Race was 299.7whp
This is what I love about RMW. The "race" version is a flippin' actual race version, but the "street" version will not let anyone down. Of course everyone's gut instinct is to grunt like an animal and go with the meanest, most hardcore option, but this just convinced me on the shorty.

Now... please Jan... Give us some sort of package deal for header, cam, and a slot at the next local tuning day.... And stickers!

Danny at Minicorsa did the installation of the street / shorty header, and the stock catback. The heatshield was maintained, whether or not it had to be modified I don't know, but I'm sure Danny would know. By the way, the street header with the RMW street exhaust also maintains the heatshield. I like stealth, and the stock exhaust with the street header is definitely more stealth appearing, however it does not necessarily sound stock. It is a tad bit louder, and has a deeper tone than stock in my opinion. It doesn't sound bad, in fact it sounds just fine, however it does impede performance.

Going from the stock catback to the RMW street catback, I could feel the difference in power and the engine responded quicker. As for the volume it got a little louder, and the sound is tons better than stock. Cruise it below 3000rpm and it's mellow, get on it and the Ferrari in my MINI comes screaming out!

I installed the shorty with my OEM catback and retained the heatshields with no modifications.

And you make ungodly amount of power for how little $ you spent.

Jan

You better go back to school. I think you could market that exhaust to Yugo owners. Looks like a profit maker to me.
