I liked my approach. The triple threat:turbo back exhaust, intake, and intercooler...........and then ecu tune.

I hope you get your "power quest" answered OP. I do not think 210 (approx) Is really that much either as some suggest. The fact is, most S drivers who drive the MINI hard will always wonder what else is available to go faster. Thats the love of MOTORSPORT. The more you drive, the slower it seems. oh must add more........

Thats why the aftermarket inductry is so large...I think those of us who like performance what to squeeze the most we can from whatever car we drive. I have been building cars and racing for years and always am looking to increase performance. Of course the factory can only go so far and still keep their cars affordable....and yes we must have more...always

Sounds like you've got a dream job!

I only wish that I had a proper shop to work on my car. Imagine........ all the hoist time you need, tools always at the ready, power............... (I need one of those drooling smily faces, got one?)

wow, that flame actually made this post MORE enjoyable for me! hahaha

I've made the decision to go suspension first before power as it seems to make the most sense for the same reasons already mentioned.

Well.. when that bonus starts rolling in I will anyway...

Everyone seems to have amazing things to say about the Cross Coilovers as they seem to solve all of the various weaknesses and drivability issues the mini has when you get on it.

I don't know if it will matter to you, but you know that the JCW has an electronic dif as opposed to the mechanical diff in the regular S?

Back on the topic of power... has anyone talked about the idea of creating a twin turbo setup for the MCS? I know that would involve a ton of customization as there's not much room in that engine to do much, but it's something I've had some curiosity about.
