Pulley install - Spark Plug Q

Hi all. I'm finally going to get my pulley installed in the next week or two and have a question. I've already picked up a set of colder plugs and would like to know what the consensus is as to when to install them. I know plugs should be installed on a cold engine so putting them in during the install is out. So what is better... running 1 step colder plugs on a stock engine for a couple days or running stock plugs with a 15% pulley for a little while? Mind you, my stock plugs are at 55k miles and are probably not in the best of shape.

I agree, partly.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'll probably end up leaving the stock plugs in and just taking it easy on the way home after the install.

You won't have any problems running home from the install on your stock heat range plugs. I've run 36,000 miles with a 15% pulley & stock plugs. No issues so far. Man are you going to enjoy that pulley.

IMO, it won't hurt you either way. The only negative to colder plugs would be fouling in city driving, but in today's real world, that's not much of a concern.
