I have a set of black rims and want to ad a thin red piping on the edge.
Has anyone done this them selves? Or know the best way to do it?

 

supposed to pinstripe/paint it. you can also try vinyl from your local ricer/auto parts store. those bead seal style trims from the old days arent very good as they do not promote a clean seal.

 

Jack the car up get some red paint and a pinstriping brush rig the wheel to spin slowly have a steady hand and your set.
Dont use the motor to do it though.
And make sure you have a clean surface blah blah blah

pinstripe it, or mask off everything else put where u want the red and spray. i did something similar a few years ago when i turned my silver wheels to black with a silver lip.

 

see sig (pic thread 2). that is just pinstriping tape from autozone. I could have painted it with a pinstriping brush but just didn't feel like it

We used Red vinyl on a set of Black Konig Feathers here and it looked pretty good. I just cut a pinstripe out of red vinyl and Adam spent time wrapping it around the inside of each rim.

If yu just want to buy a rim with the red stripe then the Konig Zeros are the way to go @ only $174.99 ea.
