did you really? damn bro thats crazy bad luck I feel like....I run my car HARD a lot and I'm on stock internals with A LOT of engine work, and a lot of it is custom work and my car runs perfectly. I have a CEL just because I have an uncatted downpipe dumping to the floor under my driver seat I have the rest of my custom exhaust build just too lazy to put it in. heres what I've got...I would say that because its the JCW kit that mini should've replaced that piston and any other damage under warrantee. Especially because with all the work I did to my car Mini will still give me full service.

The VTA BOVs are more trouble then they're worth for the N14/N18 engines. The stock diverter valve sound with an open air filter sounds plenty loud. It just makes sense to keep the diverter valve doing all the work and to keep the ECU happy. For larger turbos it makes sense for a VTA BOV, but for the tiny turbo on the N14/N18 it's really silly.

THP engines without maf have the same problem? I have a bigger turbo and I want to get rid of the DV and install a BOV.
The only 2 sensors I found on my Peugeot 207 THP are located one at the manifold and the other in the pipe that goes from the intercooler to the manifold, so, there is no sensor behind the turbo..

ok, I have a question about this. I am currently running the Forge BOV and I really like it, especially with my DP back straightpipe the pop and burble is awesome. BUT.... my Forge kit came with a plug solenoid type thing so the BOV is actually still controlled by the ECU.

Does this HKS SSQV come with anything to supplement that plug? If you leave the plug out, will it throw a CEL? my buddy has this on his VW and it sounds awesome.

So in review, how did you handle the plug for the stock DV? please help, if you did something unique, some pics would be helpful, thanks!
