Anyone else get this code on their 11'+ MCS?

I just got the P1030 code on 11' MCS and it lost boost and this wasn't the first time I lost boost when I had my thermostat replaced. I am tired already of the problems I had since 24K miles. I am currently at 32K miles and I do have an appointment with my dealership next Tuesday but I don't know what to think because my scanguage won't even clear it:-/. HELP ME!!! Anything at this point.

Possible air leak could throw that code, but Mini codes says it's possibly something with the O2 sensor either the heater is not working or the sensor went out. I read somewhere there was a TSB on this, but I couldn't find it for your model (but there are 9 TSBs reported for yours).

* MINI DTC P1030 (0x2869) - VVT Control Motor Position, Control Deviation (Bank 1)
* MINI DTC P1030 (0x2DCE) - Valvetronic System: Closed-loop control deviation too high

Basically the ECU is seeing a problem with the Valvetronic camshaft system and is seeing the valvetronic adjust too far during normal operation.
Get the vehicle into the dealer immediately and have them sort that out pronto.

I have had this code come up three times so far. The first time the car went into limp mode out of the blue and stayed that way until I turned the car off and restarted it.

The second time it happened restarting the car did nothing. I pulled the plugs off both solenoids and tapped them with a screw driver then plugged them back in. This fixed it.

I was driving to work this morning and the car did it again. I tried clearing the code but the limp mode came back immediately.

I will be picking up the replacement solenoids this week and swapping them out to see if that fixed the problem.

Just to reply, I ended up replacing the solenoid and it has not acted up since. I have also switched to Mobile 1 0-w40.
