Drivetrain RMW Dyno Tune in Boston, MA: 25-26 July
wilhelmh - please strike cmt52663 from Sunday's schedule
I am extremely sorry sir! I did get the job, but I just cannot recover from the hole I'm in fast enough to take this wonderful opportunity.
I shall have to catch the next bus, if there is one.
Sincerely,
Charlie

You should PM directly about tuning your car. While the code for the R50, R52, and R53 has been largely cracked, the code for the R56 (2007+) is still largely untouched. As such, I don't know how much ECU tuning can be done for your car. Jan has been working on R56 tuning, so he would be best able to tell you what he can do.
Preparations
Okay, folks, start getting your cars prepped for the tune! Here's what you should do:
1. Verify that you have more than half the hole showing in the belt tensioner
2. Verify that you have fresh/new spark plugs. If running more than a 17% pulley, use NGK -7s or -8s.
3. Fill up with 93 octane gas (there's no 91 out here!)
4. Ensure that your intercooler boots are not worn/torn/old
5. Ensure that you have no check engine lights
6. Ensure that your exhaust is NOT leaking
7. Clean your air filter
8. Ensure that you have enough oil and coolant
9. Ensure that you have a non-slipping clutch
10. 380cc injectors if you're running a 19%, 15%/3%, 15%/2% or 17%/2% pulley setup, or if you run your car on the track
11. If you have aftermarket locking lugs on your wheels, PLEASE bring your key with you! Put it in your trunk/glove box. Now. Do it. Why are you still reading this?
12. Ensure that you're running the right belt. 15% pulleys need a smaller belt or else it'll slip. Try the NAPA 060539. 16% and smaller should use NAPA 060535.
Take care of this as soon as possible, because problems on the day-of will cause your tune to run longer and just cost you more $$.

Sweet numers on that GP thats a 19 hp gain, wonder if even better results when temp dropped to 68. Nice over 200hp bone stock.

Reporting Time
I advise everyone to arrive 1 appointment early. This will allow for last-minute adjustments to be done in the driveway without using extra shop/dyno time. It will also allow you a chance to watch other tunes, which is always fun!
If you're the first one scheduled for the day, well, just arrive as early as you feel you need to!
Tools? If you have 'em, bring 'em. It can't hurt!

I have gotten several calls from people searching for 380cc injectors for this tuning session. I was unable to provide our regular injectors, because of rapidly drying sources for them. Ralphy from Helix was able to source a prototype set of 380cc injectors that we would be interested in having on a car tuned at this event. We would only ask that the owner cover our cost at $260 for the set. We would also install them for free here in Philly if you were willing to make the drive to the city of brotherly love. If anybody is interested, please give us a call at 215 739 8800.
How bad is the weather going to mess up our tunning jobs? I only ask because this HAS to be the worst weather in the world to get a tune, ie hot and humid/raining.
Will Jan make the tunes a little richer so that when the weather does get better and the cars lean out they wont explode, or will it not play THAT big of a deal in the tunning?
Can't wait till tomorrow

Can you ask lukifer to arrive before 10:30 am on Sunday just in case I am held up by traffic? I'm getting off a 24 hour shift at the hospital at 7 am Sunday and my wife is driving my car and I up to Boston immediately. However, so as not to hold Jan up, can you ask him to be there early? Thanks man.
I will be at a funeral on Friday morning, so I may not get to Eurotech before things kick off. If anyone needs to reach me, both Jan and Bill (from Eurotech) have my cell number. See you tomorrow!
