do you know if eurotech would be willing to do a cam install before tuning, and how long would that take?

Eurotech's specialty is actually Porsche racers, so I'm not sure about a cam install. I suppose it would depend on how similar/different the process is between MINIs and Porsches....

I wish I could get the tune, but it's not a smart move for me, I'm taking 10 days out of work to go on vacation in a few weeks and would definitely be over extending myself.

I want to participate. Jan needs to tune my 2.0l stroker MCS. The thing is, I really need to be tuned on the 27th (Sunday). I need to work Friday from 7am - 6pm, Saturday from 9am-7am Sunday (I'm a resident, and I will be on call), and then I would be able to drive to Boston. How is it looking for Sunday? Please write me back or reply here!

I may have to swing by this on saturday. Be a good reason to head up to boston for the day, check out some minis, and say hello to Jan.

Fourth and final interview went well, and I'm entering negotiation on Monday regarding the new job (finally, after 7 months of going broke).

However, the timing is still questionable, so if there is a full house please tell me as I might wait list myself in favor of someone that is holding the requisite sum right now.

I do NOT want to prevent someone from attending and then discover I'm solvent the week AFTER the tune.

Is there a waiting list already?

Thanks,

Charlie

I am going to sit down this week and draft a tuning schedule. The list of attendees, incidentally, can be found on the first page of the thread....

I hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend!

wilhelm,
Thanks for setting this up. However, due to an obligation, I will be unable to attend.

I've posted times on Page 1! Understandably, there was a lot of demand for Saturday--too much to be able to fit everybody. I hope that the resulting schedule is workable!

Please let me know if your current time doesn't work for you. If you'd like to swap times with someone, you might try PMing them directly to save time--just let me know about any changes so that I can keep the schedule up-to-date. Thanks!

i'm thinkin' 'bout it! i'm torn between my loyalty to the boys at helix and my desire to go faster sooner! i know eric/helix will host a jan jam when they move the shop, but that could be in september at this point. i'm going to look at the schedule and see if i can make room. btw, can anyone recommend someone to install new injectors (up there) before the tune?

Framingham tuning

Hi,

I'm pretty new to this tuning thing and have a couple questions. First, is there still slots available on Friday? And second, I have an unmodified 2007 MCS with an automatic transmission. Does it make sense to tune my car before modifying exhaust, intake, etc. and, if so, does tuning the car have any detrimental effect on the life of the engine and/or the warranty? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thats how I feel, I was going to try and wait it out for helix, but with no real timeframe I decided to jump at the chance of the Boston tune, how far away are you from harrisburg?

Is your 2007 MCS a hardtop or a convertible? There's a big difference between the two.

about an hour and a half. i'm in the philly burbs and work 10 minutes from helix!! if boston doesn't work out for us, maybe we can give eric some encouragement...i suspect there are more of us waiting in the nyc/philly/d.c. area

my water heater went today (waiting to hear what the damage wil be tomorrow). this may have an effect on my plans.
