Jan, is your stroker motor a rebuilt/redesign of the current 1.6 tritec?
Or is this a motor you designed completely from scratch?

Awesome!!

I'm really excited to hear how it sounds with the shorty header and Borla Street. The stroker I've been in is far too loud for daily driving...sounds amazing, just a bit loud. Your's should be perfect!!

The Stroker Has a bore and stroke change to come up to the new 2.0L displacement...
As well as a few lightweight parts and other goodies.
I cant say anymore because jan would kill me and Honestly i dont realy know.
But it is out of a tritec block.
And his head is out of a tritec head hes just that clever.

I know the things a work of art and I absolutely am not asking him to divulge secrets in a public forum. I talked with him once about it. I just couldn't remember the meat of the conversation.

Anyway, I'm freaking envious as all get out

That's one insane mustang! Sherman Tank engine 1200ci or something...Not bad for 1940's technology... overhead cams 4 valves per cylinder etc...

Glad to see everything arrived in perfect condition. I hooked Jan up with a top notch freight company that only uses air ride trailers to insure all those bitchen 2.0L arrive in perfect condition.

Glad to know my Eaton will get put to good use . Sorry for not getting back to you with the tracking number. I'm crazy busy these day's

I'm looking forward to your review once it gets running. Have you considered Royal Purple??

A little bird told me the air sucky thingy is in the car.

Herbie is the birdie, he just won't admit it. His feathers are greasy with the guts of your car. The mill is in place, much left to do, Ing. Sir Tunes-a-lot needs to send me a Genius for basemap flash. You need to send me that Pam Non Stick Spray-***-motor-oil.

Oil is due there Friday. Waiting to hear back from Jan re: the Genie. He already tuned my car once, so maybe he won't need it?? Will be in touch.

I wasn't clear I think... regarding the Genie... it is necessary to read my vin and encryption info... but since Jan's already used it once on my car, does he need to read it all again? or, can he write a tune and encrypt it using the info. that he already has? Anyone? It's 7:45 PST, so understandably I have not head back...

Ooops. I did say "understandably I have not [heard] back" .

Well, on the bright side, I may unintentionally have become your best advertising asset. Not bad considering I pay full price. You deserve the extra business, especially at your stupid-low profit margin .

You're a good man, Jan. Great to work with, and great to hang out with. My best.

Edit: 869 views in <36 hours...nice.

I'm awaiting the air bill from Trump Card to arrange shipment of the core back. I'll let you know when it's done.

I'll probably be running 30w hd Shell Rotella T for the first 300 miles (break in) and then run the RLI oil until the winter.

shhhh. Don't let everyone know why the Department of Homeland Security flagged our "motor" when it was shipped!

But seriously (as Eric and Jan know), when the engine shipped, it was flagged on suspicion of possessing "illegal narcotics" or something like that, and it was inspected. Perhaps the work of another nervous tuner ? My car will be a WMD, that's for sure.
