Forge, very sweet looking, simple part, becomes part of existing pressure relieve system. One of the bolts is a bit of a PIA, but then alot of the bolts and nuts on this motor are a PIA to get at.

Plus $65, nice well written clear instructions. Can actually see the parts in the photos.

You're asking what BOV you should buy, why on earth would you want the opinions of people who don't even know what a BOV is? It's like asking a deaf person for help buying CD's.

There was just a thread on this ..

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=138018

Check that out; I imagine you'll find most of your answers/opinions there (which is also likely why you are getting little response here).

Cheers..

I'd wait to see what Exhaust Depot comes up with. Seems like they have some good ideas.

Yep a proper HKS BOV built into a metal intercooler charge pipe sounds very interesting.

HKS ssqv new type BOV, sounds soo savage the cool thing about BOV's that they are universal so if you want to get a BOV it's all what you want it to sound like. my friend has a diverter/blow off- valve and the things sounds pretty awesome. (25% BOV/ 75% Diverter) so don't think you are stuck to one BOV. but +1 for BOV

get some sort of safety plan for your turbo, anything can happen.

What's wrong with the factory plumb-back valve? Not obnoxious-sounding enough? Don't forget it does not get activated in the usual blow-off valve way. It is servo-controlled by the ECU, not fed boost pressure from the compressor outlet. It's a big reason why the R56 MCS drives so smooth for a turbo car.

From: Orlando, my house is in fortlauderdale and im originally from da bronx
If you bypass the stock solenoid and run a like directly from the manifold, usually your turbo spool up time goes up. Ive had great success via the srt4 neon and the Solstic GXP. The old school days the cars had no solenoids on the surge valve, today they do. By holding teh solenoid open the ecu can bleed off extra boost if it sees an over boost condition by taking off "head pressure" from the surge valve. The surge valve is usually only about 4lbs or so, so thast all the car will boost with no head pressure on it.
