Drivetrain RMW Dyno Tune in Charlotte, NC :18th/19th July
Chris, ask Dan at www.grassrootsgarage.com, he's ordering (and installing a Helix set for me).
BTW, this is JUST great! Thanks to Joe and Jan and the dyno guy...

I would suggest that you all check and make sure that your Coop is in tip top shape for the Dyno day. Now would be a good time to get your 380cc injectors ordered up, your CAI cleaned and oiled, one step colder plugs if you do not have them already, check/replace your pully belt, check for boost leak and correct as necessary.
This will reduce the chance of delays on the Dyno.
Joe,
I'm interested but don't know if I can get my head and parts ordered and installed in time, Place me as "Tentative" on the list. (spoke to you while your Cross Coilovers, Jan Cam and JCW injectors were installed at Grassroots Garage).
1) wanted to verify the dates 18 & 19th of July, Time?, location Thomasville NC.
2) I believe a list of specs, (mods) will be needed to help setup the dyno,
and i'm sure for Jan.
Year R50, R52, R53, R56, etc... auto or manual trans
as they can be grouped together with the dyno having to be changed less times (reconfigured for model and for auto or manual trans).
3) wanted to see what other engine-exhaust mods that others have done
to see what Jan will tune, and wanted to see the differences in mods
between the modders.
If I don't get the parts and the install in time, I'll show up to see the Mini Modders.
How's the Jan Cam and JCW injectors doing on the OEM ECU tune?
Thanks

Hey Surreptitious! Look at the very first post on page 1, and post on Joe's other thread, and ask him to send you his spreadsheet.
1) Dates are right, and you can ask for a timeslot, or like me, just let them assign one to you based upon their schedule.
2) Spreadsheet = fill in your mods and get grouped
3) May have to wait till you get there for that? ;-)

Please take plenty of pics and keep those of us who can't make it updated on your excellent blog!
Its not just a cam, Its a Jan CAM!
But for real, only 4 days till the fun begins! I have been going over my car with a fine tooth comb trying to get any little problems worked out before I head up there. Today I found a exhaust leak, will be fixing that tomorrow. I also ran a bottle of fuel injector cleaner through my car last week. that seemed to clear up my rich running code?!? apparently I had some dirty injectors. NICE!
Then I got finished with my Tensioner replacement nightmare yesterday. Missed a sweet a$$ autoX doing it.......
I hope to be at about 120% by saturday.

Mine was after my new cat, on the Borla exhaust flange. I have known about it for a while, but wrote it off. Now with the tune coming up I figured I would address it. well I went to a local exhaust shop and they put it up on a lift and it turned out that the stock exhaust gasket was leaking. I will try another OEM One tomorrow, but if that doesn't fix it, I will be giving Jan a call for one of their gaskets. I have heard they have a spongy type gasket as opposed to the oem steel craptastic one. I am thinking I need one of them.
I also have a small leak on the flange, (they didnt see it but I did) just needs to be welded real quick. If you have a local exhaust shop, they might think your car is cool and do the check for free. I just said I have a boost gauge and they got all googly eyed! LOL
Now I know!
