I think you need to get a test pipe as well. but im not 100% sure. I'm getting one to and was planning on having my shop just weld in a strait pipe.

I know the OBX header is a copy of the supersprint and supersprint offers a straight pipe where the cat goes for racing...i'd try that

since your ordering OBX header, see this thread

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=140145

and let us know how they look at the manifold flange side.

Nope, there is no pipe included to put in place where the cat was.

You are simply left with a 12" gap between where the header ends and the exhaust starts. Just have an exhaust shop weld in a straight pipe in that place. Oh, and run an O2 simulator to get rid of the CEL, cuz that will probably be the next question, lol.

It would be idea to install the header and have the catback installed and let them measure the distance and fabricate but if thats not an option then providing them with good measurements is second choice for me.

On another note, I had read commentary that high flow non restrictive cats in no way limit your engine capabilities compared to a straight pipe. You should proabably talk with some of the "racers" here to learn more.

Payed less than that from Summit. I should have bought the one with two bungs the other could be used with a Wideband O2 for tuning, well next time.

Im also fairly certain that ive see info floating around here on supercharged engines liking to run cats.
Provides a better tq curve and all that.

put the cat in and your car will be sounding very similar to how it was before you put on the headers. in fact, after hearing the car with the straight pipe you probably won't notice the difference between the oem header and your new obx. it's crazy how different a car sounds with/without a cat on
